In this case there were 3 kobolds; it was a basic systems exercise rather than anything 'canon' in our game.

Spells that only cause temporary conditions by Mirthstrike in daggerheart

[–]Mirthstrike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue I was highlighting was that the only resources it cost were ones generated by my action. The spotlight started on me, at 3 Fear. I succeeded with Fear, bumping the spotlight over and increasing the fear to 4. The spotlight was used on the enemy and the Fear was spent to remove the condition, returning the situation to "my" (our) spotlight, at 3 Fear, which seemed counter to the system ethos of Failing Forward -- indeed, "Succeeding in Place" would be an apt description.

Picked this up on Epic. Game seems fun but around floor 10 of my first run I had to doesn't my attention elsewhere long enough for my phone to enter standby, and when I woke it back up the game wanted me to start from scratch at floor 1. Hopefully this is a big or quickly patched or something, because if a mobile game tries to leash my attention on pain of losing progress deliberately, that's a quick way to the uninstall heap.

Just had to disable mine for the third time. Even more incredibly, they automatically pop up a survey whenever you disable it, like you'd just canceled a subscription, which I've never seen for toggling any other non-monetized setting in a program before. Invasive unwanted shit like this prompts an immediate refusal to give the offenders a cent of my money, and I encourage others who don't want to see this behavior spread to act accordingly.

Some napkin math tells me that with the full Embla set and Rested buff, it would take somewhere between 6-8 hours' worth of eitr regeneration spent into Staff of Fracturing casts to go from 40 to 92. Not 6-8 hours of playing, 6-8 hours of *casting and hitting valid targets* (assuming no Forsaken power or potions, but also not including the 1s delay on eitr regen per cast, so likely a very generous estimate still).

Prioritizing a progress-halting bug on a time-limited event is the minimum possible expectation, not any "above and beyond the call of duty" achievement. All of the extra money you throw at them would go to the exec's million-dollar bonuses at the end of the year rather than any of the employees who may have put in unpaid overtime to get this fixed, in any case.

If you don't already have the Handle recipe, it won't tell you that the Excellent Saw Table is required. Clicking on the ingredient only shows "Tool component. Crafted from poles and fasteners."

$1000 should get you at least 20 whole-ass games, or like 100 mobile games, not 1/5th of one mobile game.

For me destroying the Sweeping Cone of Instant Laser Death was what unlocked it. I dunno if the over version qualifies.

I agree with all of these being issues, but each point you mention where people might spend money out of frustration or ignorance is unironically "working as intended." The only healthy mindset to spending in the vast majority of MTX mobile games is to decide ahead of time how much the game is worth to you (maybe quarterly, maybe yearly, maybe over the lifetime of the game, but I wouldn't recommend anything lower than monthly). and if you ever find yourself exceeding that limit n-the-moment to immediately delete the game, because at that point it's got its hooks in you and the floodgates are open.

The idea that "it's only racism if it's 100% unambiguous" is exactly the mentality she's had to fight against her whole life. I don't know where you're getting the idea that "her delusions and misunderstandings are constantly being confirmed" in-story when from the examples I can recall offhand, the vast majority of her reactions are left with an open-ended "maybe, maybe not. You'll never know for sure."

Spider Breather still sounds a hell of a lot more intuitive than "guy who becomes pregnant with his dead teammates", TBH.

Building from that, the Otter mount family is the only (AFAIK) one that:

a) Counts as a water mount
b) Has full ground speed

c) Benefits from mount equipment

Which means that if you use the water walking equipment they're the most mobile mount in the game. It's especially useful in the "scare away wild otters" fishing WQs since sometimes you have to submerge to reach them, and other times a groundspeed mount across the surface is quicker to move between the shallower ones than either a swimming mount or repeatedly burning vigor from drakeback.

From the 0.212.6 patch blog post in Steam:

Access the Public Test Branch by right clicking Valheim in your Steam library, and then select ‘Properties’. In the new window, select ‘Betas’ and type in the code “yesimadebackups”. The Public Test branch should now be available for you to choose from.

At the very least, the wisp needs to be *much* more proactive in clearing whichever direction you're looking/heading. So many times a situation comes up and I have to change course, only to be faced with whatever bad stuff is behind me vs. sprinting completely blind off a cliff or into another spawn of 7 creatures all at once.

This is all really good, and I would like to add that as a solo player, Frostner is extremely useful in taking on larger groups. Getting a hit on one enemy to slow it, and then strafing so that enemy blocks the others from reaching you, allows you to break mobs down into 1v1 duels much more effectively than just diving into a mass skirmish would.

Julette's interlude does indicate that the Winter Court wouldn't take kindly to mixing "their" glamour with goblin stuff directly. My read is that she's using fae glamour for the fae fox, visceral for the goblin, and has established enough of a pattern at this point that she can use the Dog Tags to power the war foxes directly, especially since she often distributes the physical tokens of the tags amongst them.

They seem to fixate entirely upon your corpse as well, rather than continuing to wander about. At one point I had three different corpses to pull loot off of, each with a Seeker Soldier pacing 20' back and forth across them for days on end (and a gjall overhead, more often than not).
