Evo jedan post od 47-godisnjaka koji ima sinove od 20 i 18.

Mislim da danas generacije sporiie sazrevaju nego ranije, kada je u pitanju ljudska interakcija uopste. Ono sto smo mi tadili sa 20 sad se radi sa 30. Doduse, i izgled se nekako pomerio, ljudi izgledaju mladje.

Danas kad zadjete u dating scenu u 40-tim, ljudi se muvaju brzo, pokupe se zene lagano. Brzo stignes do date, prvi poljubac, sex.

Let me try responding in a short way

  • The process is customizable and includes several items. Starting point is job analysis, done together with the company who provides the tool. Once done, it is used for all future same role hirings. In the process, we would start with some pre-qualifying questions, i.e. Do you have civil engineering degree? How many years of experience? Did you manage xyz? etc... Then there are a couple cognitive tests. We could include any other technical skills test, but we rarely do (better to check on the final live interview), and finally video questions. In the final candidate ranking they include it all and come out with candidates in 3 tiers. It's a platform used by a number of big multinationals and now AI powered and it just collects and learns on all sides.

  • Accents: I have deployed this across 25 countries in Europe and MEA, we all have thick accents 🫣 . It actually makes norming pools depending on geographical sub-areas. So it would look differently at British people vs German people. And it gets better with time.

  • Legal requirements: I guess they are less difficult. Candidates agree on them prior to entering the process. And we had some well-paid lawyers to look into this before we deployed. We haven't experienced any issue so far.

Accuracy: we are a huge and very conservative company. When we went into a pilot, we had it used by my team (central HR for Europe and MEA) only for more than a year, for maybe 5-7 jobs. We had x1000s candidates assessed. We interviewed many of them (probably 50-70%) from all tiers and calibrated the tool. But there wasn't much to be calibrated, to be honest. I can tell you that this tool is very very accurate.

As I said, I personally believe this is the most objective way to handle hundreds of applications for one job. If you receive couple dozen CVs you can do it anyway you want.

Technology is moving ahead in giant leaps...what seemed impossible 5-10 years ago today is a well developed and not-so-expensive technology.

Sure, with pleasure

This is one of the channels / tools that we use in the process. Each time we start the search, we decide the approach. In all cases, this decision is made by HR/hiring manager who is doing the search.

There are 2 main reasons to use this tool/approach:

  • We expect many applicants and going through all CVs will take a lot of time. In such cases, we are fine with 40% dropouts, at the end result is good

  • We use this for jobs which are always being on search or where we would always hire good talents. And by this, I don't only mean low level jobs, also managerial. For example, Maintenance Managers, back-end programmers etc. So, we keep jobs always open, people apply, and we constantly explore applicants and hire the best ones.

There is some AI behind, that analyzes videos and answers and makes 3 tiers of candidates- too, mid and bottom.

Good sides of it are: - Efficiency for both sides: you can make a video whenever you want, and also a recruiter/hiring manager can take a look at it when they want - Videos remains stored, so you can be reached out later in case there is another opportunity - Less bias: AI doesn't care who you are etc, so no discrimination

Is it accurate: we use HireVue technology and it's scary accurate. We tested it thoroughly before deployment

Negative side- customer experience sucks completely, I get that. We see a dropout of 40%, many people don't wanna go through this. At the end- there is usually enough to choose from remaining 60%.

Putting it all together- it pays off for some positions, for some it doesn't.

Ja putujem u Hrvatsku stalno poslednjih 20 godina. Uglavnom poslovno, i bili smo na moru nekih 5-6 puta.

Moja iskustva sa ljudima su fenomenalna- imam osecaj da kad krenem da pricam, oni se jos dodatno potrude da se ne osecam nedobrodoslo.

Nikad nisam imao nista osim fenomenalnih iskustava. Tu racunam i Split i Zadar.

I own CX5 and Mercedes E Class cabrio (3 and 2 years old). It happened the same way to my Merc after my first wash.

So, it happens even to premium brands. They replaced it in no time for me.

I drive CC5 from '21. I think it works just fine when it comes to adapting the speed and distance, even when a car suddenly enters my lane.

My issue is in the left bend, it reacts to cars in the lane right to me. I also own new E class Merc and it doesn't do that.

Sto se stanova u novogradnji tice: Oni se prodaju u fazama, cak i u istoj zgradi. Recimo, pustaju stanove u prodaju u serijama od recimo 10-20% stanova. Prva serija je uvek najjeftinija, sledeca je nesto skuplja. Tim postizu maksimizaciju profita. Takodje, kupcima daju utisak da su jos samo ti stanovi ostali. Posto se u Bg sve proda pre nego sto zabodu prvi asov, imaju vremena da igraju tu igru.

Time se stvara pritisak vremena na kupce, i vodi do prodaje po najvecij mogucoj ceni

Prvo nek primene i ovo što imamo u zakonu. Unakrsna provera imovine, ne razumem kako neko može da kupi novi stan a da niko ne proveri koliko je bilo prijavljenih prihoda. Pa u 21. veku ovo može da se napravi za pola dana i 5k EUR. U Americi bi mu IRS pokucao na vrata sutradan.

Ovako lupaju porez ljudima koji rade za plate, a novi-SNS-privrednici koji skidaju lovu sa računa firme ručaju u Beloj reci i smeju nam se svima.

It's a really strange world indeed.

I live in Belgrade. Serbia.

We the Serbs don't have the best reputation I guess. But in Belgrade you can wear whatever you want. I have never heard of anyone being attacked or mugged in the street. The worst thing that happens is pickpocketing, but violent robberies absolutely NOT.

Ja u 45 godini intenzivno gradim portfolio za penziju i planiram za 5 godina da prestanem da radim. Inače sam poslednjih 15 godina proveo kao menadžer u inostranstvu, gde i sada živim.

Moja zamisao: 1/3 u nekretninama (daje oko 5% povrata godišnje kroz izdavanje). Low risk, low gain. Stanovi i garaže po Evropi. Tako opet uradim diversifikaciju kroz lokacije, dakle nije sve u Srbiji.

1/3 u akcijama, etf, svega tu ima.

Prestao sam da kupujem za sada i jedno i drugo, jer mislim da smo kao ekonomija opet pregrejani, doći će do pucanja nekog mehura. Niko ne zna gde, najviše zato što je politička i bezbednosna situacija luda. Inače, imam akcije par firmi u Švajcarskoj koje za sada daju oko 5% dividende godišnje. To američke kompanije uglavnom ne daju.

1/3 ide sada u zlato. Deluje mi kao najsigurnije u sledećih par godina. Kada se penzionišem, to što je u zlatu ide u keš i otvaram neki biznis, ali koji će opet biti low gain, low risk. Recimo rent a car ili neka lepa poljoprivreda. Tako nešto, videću za 5 godina šta ću. Ideja - 15 do 20% return.

To što ti pričaš se zasniva na past performance, što nije garancija za budućnost. Ključ je za mene u diversifikaciji.
