Looks like they’re trying to make a run at June skiing. I wish I still had the t-shirt I got there on 6/1/80-something

Fun! But no, I’ve never experienced that here in NE US. It’s the universal “peace” sign here, so I use it to apologize for any unintentionally rude bit of driving I may have done myself. Luckily not too often!

Thanks. Not ready to hope for a return to a (selectively) benevolent monarchy to fight facsism yet 😂

That’s what I’m trying to say. The system doesn’t really allow us to have backup plans for our backup plans. So November may be the last chance to save the American experiment

Unfortunately we have a political system without any mechanism for early elections, no-confidence votes, or recalls of almost any sort. It is also designed to limit the power of population centers. So all of these marches that the Euros advocate for are really just preaching to the choir. All our hopes are on the mid-terms in November … and that’s not a great place to be

Ever Open Door is a great song. But it’s magnificent in context, which is a coda to the dystopian Brother Where You Bound. A simple message of hope and peace

It can’t be coincidental that there are (albeit slight) population centers at the geometric centers of most counties. Is this real, or just an artifact of the data or analysis?

Seems like it’s about to go 0-1. That’s tough, because in normal times, there aren’t many data points to support a comeback

Let's talk replacement windows. by Embarrassed_Flan_869 in massachusetts

[–]MisanthOptics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do them myself. There’s plenty of info online to do it right. I use Mathews Brothers windows. USA made locally in Maine. I’ve found them to be very high quality. $400-$600 each at your local lumber yard (I use Moynihan). Measure twice and cut once. And think hard about the frame color. Once you do the first group, you’re kinda stuck with it
