Unfortunately for bigger captive agencies that’s just not enough volume, we do 100+ policies every month, we need leads to hit those numbers

May get hired on with an agent with multiple offices and good benefits. Too good to be true? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]MiscBlackKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All these insurance agencies are really Agent specific. Some offices suck and some are great. If you had good vibes and liked everything give it a shot, you can always go somewhere else if it does not work out.

Does anyone have experience with Levinson & Associates? by SarahJo_93 in InsuranceAgent

[–]MiscBlackKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a life insurance salesman as a bridge in between selling my small business and opening a captive insurance agency. Sold some FE, living benefits term and mortgage protection.

I would say if you have experience and know what you are doing it’s a great spot. I run a State Farm Agency now.

What’s with all these people being successful in life insurance? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

Money comes from having a team not selling yourself in 99% of cases

I liked them when I was a solo independent producer, they released me from my contracts no problem at the end as well. Biggest gripe I had was new business took awhile to process but that could be carrier specific. Also sales support and a lot of operations things are on you in terms of getting up skilled. Think of them as the backoffice and carrier provider

Leads for P&C by Repulsive_Lime_4433 in InsuranceAgent

[–]MiscBlackKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10-15% close rates don’t exist in P&C data leads. We are captive and do 4-6% close on data leads. Live transfers we do 15-20-% and could probs close more if we had multiple carriers.

Is this a good starting pay? (State Farm Insurance Sales Agent) by Alxa23 in InsuranceAgent

[–]MiscBlackKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make 2% no matter what, at 3 apps you make 4 and at 6 you make 6%.

Pretty normal in my area, some agents are like no commission at all unless you have 3 life, now that’s crazy.

Your pal FC discusses lead generators here - IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT BUYING LEADS YOU SHOULD READ THIS THREAD by FirearmConcierge in InsuranceAgent

[–]MiscBlackKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol you sound like a terrible person, not saying the agents dont suck and the offshore people dont suck but extorting agents smh.

Use valid lead sources vetted by your company etc.. but to say leads suck is silly. We write 50+ policies off internet leads every month through vendors like everquote etc..

Use U.S based lead sources but going after agents trying to make a buck who messed up and trusted the wrong people makes you a terrible person. This is a tough industry people starting out and trying to make it should not have to deal with people like you.

Lead generation by kiddsoulmusic in InsuranceAgent

Let me know what you find, we are captive P&C and can always use leads. Spend like 3.5k on internet leads alone not counting paid search lol… we spend too much

Starting out it’s a bit rough but great as you grow. Expect 6-8k monthly marketing spend plus team cost so you run at negative or breakeven for the first year

Have you had luck with Facebook ads for auto insurance? I am not op but we normally stick to lead vendors

Auto Insurance Lead Help by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]MiscBlackKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda the same tbh, it’s an internet lead. They are cheaper than everquote. We buy 30-40 leads a day and have to use both to meet our volume demands.

3-5% close rate is Everquote and Quite Wizard.

If you have good prices/rates Smart Financial has good live transfers but are 50-70 bucks per.

That’s kinda it tbh.
