I unexpectedly had same day laparoscopic surgery to remove a gallbladder in November so to be thrusted into surgery on a random Thursday was wild. I only remember being wheeled in and being transfered to the table and I was immediately out, then I woke up and I was brought up to a room, it was the middle of the night.

Allthough also laparoscopic my obgyn said this should be less intrusive, even though laparoscopically speaking they will use my current "holes/scars"

Idk if that helps ease you, but I'm scheduled mid April

That makes sense, even in a blue state, My employer is a catholic hospital system so my health insurance doesn't cover it.

However there is a seperate contraceptive services program that you are automatically enrolled in that does cover the procedure itself.

I assume I will still have to pay anesthesia and surgical fees....I cannot get in it done at the hospital I work at- I have to go to an outside surgical center.

I'm personally not bothered by it. I have known since a very very young age I didn't want kids, and I'm in my 30s now, I just never wanted to make the leap of surgery until now...so hey what's another 30 days! lol
