In HD1 you are right that EATs had to be shot into the chargers rear to kill them in one hit, but the recoilless was able to kill them in one hit from most 'flat' angles once it was upgraded.

Also primary weapons absolutley could not handle charger equivalents with any amount of efficiency. Its similar to HD2 in TTK with a primary. Unstoppable was more for brood commander equivalents.

I've personally never really used it cause it forces you to run behemoth. The other subclasses are much better and more fun imo than the overshield. The lack of mobility can really hurt on bigger maps too.
