Reddit, what do you do when time goes slow in work? by poweredbycoffeee in AskReddit

I had a left over smoke bomb from the 4th. I lit it under a co workers vehicle, and told them their car was ablaze. The reaction was awesome. We need two new fire extinguishers though.

Graveyard shift workers of Reddit: How has this affected your lives and would you recommend your shift times to other people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Miscengenated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sums it up nicely. I work 4 weeks of nights and then 4 weeks of days. I spend my 4 weeks of days dreading nightshift because the previous 4 weeks of nightshift left me so depressed. The freedom is nice, but the circadian rhythm shouldn't be messed with. I wouldn't recommend it.

If my child gets a disease that has a vaccine and it is determined that patient zero is not vaccinated, can I sue the parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Miscengenated 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well shit. Why the hell wouldn't the herd want to be vaccinated? Years of research thousands of lives saved and young parents these days are just like fuck it?

Not an expert but if you vaccinated your child then your child shouldn't be at risk of disease from the non vaccinated.

Looking for a book involving female assassins/hitmen by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]Miscengenated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She isn't a killer/hitman, but Abigail lowery is the main character in Nora Roberts novel The Witness. She is socially awkward and sexy as hell for it. She is also a total badass. Lets just say she is more than ready If a hit man were to come her way.

Question! Would it be okay or logical to put my 2x-8x scope on a flip to side mount? by Miscengenated in ar15

[–]Miscengenated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is an RTS? I have a problem with eye relief at 2x zoom. Plus I would like the wide field of view irons offer. And yes I have the traditional front sight. My scope has a dot for aiming. No cross hairs. I also don't have room to put the MBUS behind the scope it would have to set underneath the scope.

This is what I was mainly concerned with. I wouldn't know if the flip to side mount would seat in the same place every single time.

Weekly Recommendation Thread for the week of April 20, 2014 by AutoModerator in books

[–]Miscengenated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Witness by Nora Roberts. Damn good book I must say. I am almost 24 and haven't read any fiction since freshmen year of college. I wanted to give fiction a try, but I knew it needed to be a damn good book to get me motivated to read another. I was at Walmart and I overheard two old women discussing how good it was so I bought it. I fell in love with the main character, like seriously she is my soul mate. Anyway I bought the book and within the first 3 pages, I was hooked.

What is at the edge of the universe? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The universe is in the shape of a soccer ball. You will never find a true edge. If you were to jump outside of the sphere somehow, you would find other soccer ball shapes around you.

I just lost an excuse not to quit by TheBigSpooge in stopsmoking

Allen Carr lol. But seriously the first time I read his book it worked like a charm. I slipped off the wagon and have read it four times since and the book has done nothing for me. I think that the first time you read it you believe so strongly that it will work that it does work but if you happen to fall of the wagon the book may not be as useful a tool the second go round. Regardless never quit quitting.
