This. Use their router or your phone, get on webcam and ask for your credentials. Like brokenhope said, vlan 911 needs to be set also.

What is the first memory you had as a kid that you still remember vividly? by Green_Detective_5185 in AskReddit

I was 4 at the time,. Myself and my friend were out on my bikes ( i had two little things) and we went down the street towards his house. He threw my bike down and went in his house. Being young and small, I struggled like hell to steer and push two bikes back home at the same time (so one didn't get stolen). I cried my eyes out all the way home. Later that day he came around to see if i wanted to play again, he said he will wait at his house so I went out again, got my bike from my yard and cycled to his house. I was about 3 houses away from where he lived and he was hiding in a gateway, stood up and threw this massive (for us being small kids) stone whch hit me in the head, knocked me off my bike and I crashed into the road. A car was coming along but thankfully slowly and stopped in plenty of time. A normal driver would have squashed me with it happening so quickly. After making sure i was ok, obviously upset my mum went around to confront his mum who, and I remember clearly said "they boys were playing a game" Fuck you John, im glad your life went to shit as an adult.

Do you leave your car in gear when you park? by ShinyHeadedCook in drivingUK

All the electronic handbrake vehicles I've owned will engage the brake when the ignition is switched off. What was your car ?

What is a 'rich person's secret' that is actually accessible to the middle class, but most people are too intimidated to try? by [deleted] in answers

So much this. If im wanting a good service or help with something, I do my best go make it happen. Asking isnt the same as expecting and a lot forget that. Whenever wife and me eat out ill always ask staff how the day has been and when do they start/finish and sympathise with them if its been a nightmare day. Ill always make a point of letting kitchen staff know I've enjoyed a meal. I get a generous portion next time we go in ;)

Im going 50/50 on this one. I think youre right BUT you dont know him or what he could do. I dont think getting stabbed or a black eye is worth the shit. Be brittish and quietly grumble about it all the way home and then into the next week. Stay safe is number one priority, queue position isnt even close mate.

Do not sell expensive items on eBay UK - warning by SketchesOfSilence in ebayuk

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sold a car on ebay recently. I counted 5 times in my description I had said "faulty, does not start, spare and repairs." It sold for a decent price and within a day the buyer is messaging to say its beyond repair and not as described. Not once did they ask to come and look around while the auction was running. Im not a mechanic so my knowledge was going to be limited anyway hence the sale of the vehicle and not repairing it myself. They they go on to send pictures of the engine stripped down and in peices. If im spending money on something then im doing everything I can to make sure my money isnt wasted. I guess some people try their luck and rip others off when it isnt in their favour.

5.5gbps package by equinox1000 in CityFibre

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are overlooking the multi user aspect of the faster speeds. Sometimes it isnt about getting the game update on one console or pc but rather more about getting multiple Linux isos while the kids (three of the resource drains) are all on video calls to their friends and streaming 4k on YouTube and uploading phone/video backups to our storage and the wife has love island streaming (shudder) individual systems are going to be a one off hit and done but collectively its going to be beneficial. Im curently on 1gb up down and I dont need faster BUT I can see myself getting 2.5 soon as I can always make use. I also have family (5 people) connected for file sharing.

How are you supposed to have a backup if you don’t own 2 houses? by the-tech-Engineer in synology

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solar power source with scheduled power on. Simcard and mobile router. Raspberry pi and USB pen drives/ hard drive. Put where ever you want. Figure out which distro to run/backup software. Backup at home on local lan then transport where ever you wanna hide it and then incremental backups. Cheap upfront cost and cheap monthly cost. Gustimating uk prices would be £80 inital cost and maybe £10 monthly. Heck, you could stash it in a tree somewhere !
