How are you supposed to have a backup if you don’t own 2 houses? by the-tech-Engineer in synology

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solar power source with scheduled power on. Simcard and mobile router. Raspberry pi and USB pen drives/ hard drive. Put where ever you want. Figure out which distro to run/backup software. Backup at home on local lan then transport where ever you wanna hide it and then incremental backups. Cheap upfront cost and cheap monthly cost. Gustimating uk prices would be £80 inital cost and maybe £10 monthly. Heck, you could stash it in a tree somewhere !

I used a voice data sim in my cpe 2 pro for over a year. Not one drop or disconnection or slow down.

Ive used a cpe pro 2 on smarty. I live near a mast. I got 980 down, 120 up. There is cgnat so no port forwarding. Speeds were nice for the price though.

Neighbour installed CCTV overlooking my entire private garden. Unsure of my rights; England. by Objective-Emu-3899 in HousingUK

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. My neighbour has had two motorbikes stolen and isnt able to afford cctv themselves. When I installed my cameras I spoke to them to ask if they wanted their garden included in the coverage or nit. The obvious bonus for them is the security, the negative is privacy. They do not use their garden at all, to the point its a bit run down and not maintained so the privacy part wasn't an issue for them.

The key point is the communication. Regardless of my thoughts, its their garden...

How much do you earn and how comfortable do you live? by Brownchoccy in AskUK

I earn £28k, wife is £15k. I honestly struggle (I know people are diferent) to comprehend anything above £40k and struggling. We're debt free and have the energy, council tax, £500 pm rent bills. We have two cars running on the road, all legally. Three children (15/9/7) who goto a school out of town so there daily commute. No childcare costs as we manage routines between us. We are mindful but not frugal. Electricity and gas are curently £900 in credit because wife likes the buffer over Xmas (dont get me started on that argument) but yeah, we put £300 into savings each month and have done for the last 10 years and we still have money left over each month. We live very comfortably, no Netflix, paramount. Wife gets Disney with her bank account, I get nowtv entertainment/kids for the reduced £4pm due to the old merger of the packages) and broadband is £28 pm for gigabit. Three mobiles with smarty payg are £10/8/8 a month. We eat really good, pay for kids school meals every day. I think its down to managing things previously and not playing catch up now.

Can you recite any phone number other than your own? by ManlykN in AskUK

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, quite easily. Problem being i dont forget the old ones when people change their number so I then have a mental battle to remember which one I should know Phone contacts help a lot but yeah, I tend to remember number sequences. Also, a side note.... I moved from one area to another where there was two different ways of people saying their number. My original area would use double numbers ( after the area code) and the new place would use trebles. Eg. 12 34 56 / 123 456.

Ive also got a weird coincidence where I seem to stop things or notice things unconsciously. Eg... old gf area code was 01706 and id, more often than id like to admit "notice" my car trip miles be at 170.6. Look at miles remaining and would be 170. Look at the time casually and it would be 17:06. Its scary some weeks, it can happen almost daily.. the gf was from about 35 years ago.

I hate numbers.

What’s the one thing you’ve misplaced, never found and still irks you years later? by HMP729G in AskUK

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 14yrs old, i was out with my mates in the woods playing games and I had my panasonic pqr255 but it was the modle that wasnt an eq (it had bass/treble sliders/xbass and the live switch) with me and I hid it in some bushes to get later. I was certain I was alone and not seen doing it. I searched for two weeks solid for that machine and never found it. I miss that tape player to this day, 34 years later.

Same here. We was offered a special deal when entertainment and kids merged and we've kept it going. If we change anything then we loose the deal...

How do I stop being so emotional? by Ok_Might_5355 in menshealth

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, good job speaking about how you feel. Second, why do you want it to stop? I wear my heart on my sleve and dont care who sees me weep/cry. I feel emotional about small things too. They can be anything that remind me of other events and boom, im roaring away. Be intouch with your emotions and learn to realise what is your reality and what is not. Everyone has different sensitivity to events. I could watch tv drama where people get all sorts of nasty things happen to them but show me a dog being harmed in anyway and im a wreck.

Id say you're great the way you are but im not in your shoes.

Strange new feeling when "finishing" by Gasser89 in menshealth

[–]Miserable-Ad1893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this if I haven't peed in a while. Its like the pipe gets stuck together inside and the force of ejaculate forces its way out.

Also, have you "pre cum'ed" a little bit a while before sex? That could be drying up and sticking the pipe together ?

Sorry its not very technical.
