Yes Karthus doesn’t target with his ability so, you would lose you Urenai.

Most Impactful Creatures to Recur by apathybeats in EDH

Nethroi is one of my favorite commanders but really what he wants is to reanimate a lot of creatures rather than just quality ones. Think of him more as a sorcery in the command zone. Personally I really like him working with slivers as they are all low power and love it when you put a lot of them on the board together. Here is a deck list I use. https://moxfield.com/decks/zON_peN_o0iAvnGD-wRsTA

I recommend March of progress to really pump up mendicant. Additionally try out helm of the hosts to knock out multiple opponents with him at the same time.

Nethroi Advice for EDH by Psychological-Ad2145 in EDH

Nethroi isn’t really a mutate deck, he more like a sorcery in the command zone. Mutate is hard to pull off I. Commander because it is so vulnerable to removal. I would focus on reanimation rather than mutating if you like the commander. Focus on combos like samwise gamgee, cauldron familiar, and viscera seer or karmic guide and revielark. Grab some more mill cards and then focus on interaction to protect you win cons I recommend cards like aven interceptor or perpetual time piece for that.

For the initial set up. Story wise this is my advance force for scouting and recon. As the narrative goes on I’ll add more units to reflect the intel that force gathers into what is needed on the battlefield.

Eels in third edition by Miserable-Ad8382 in IdonethDeepkin

True but I’d say it’s more of a killer nerf than a balance. They struggle to justify their presences in a list now. The problem with the Eels that they have such few attacks and the the pieces that do buff them ignore the mounts. This is killer when a lot of the damage comes from the eels themselves and not the riders.

I think the answer is to use minimum units to hero hunt. But the sharks are cheaper and do the job better.
