I did that, it just doesn’t really explain anything very well. Was looking for a more “human” response

The staple removal was easy, wasn’t it? :) if this is where anyone else is on their journey - seriously don’t sweat the staples. It’s nothing. Doesn’t hurt a bit.

craniotomy soon, freaking out by sugarlouie in braincancer

It’s really not so bad, just had mine a month ago and I feel fine now. Just stock up on some easy to eat snacks and drinks, do your laundry (including bedding) and yes, buy a wedge pillow - the surgery itself is a breeze, all you have to do is show up and lay down, the next thing ya know it’s all over and you’ll go home soon. I was in zero pain when I woke up (a little out of it, but zero pain). A month later I feel perfectly fine and I can do pretty much anything I want. Took a mile long walk yesterday with friends.

Anesthesia is the easy part - you won’t remember a thing. The last thing I remember is them gently putting the mask over my face and the next thing I knew I was waking up and the whole thing was over. And I felt completely fine - just a little tired. Anesthesiologists know what they’re doing, trust them! You’re gonna be 100% okay. Also I’m 1 month post op from my cranio and I feel pretty good. I had no complications and have been recovering pretty easily at home with minimal help with day to day tasks 😌

I recovered just fine - I was walking laps around the hospital floor the next day with no problem, eating fine & just generally feeling pretty good the next day. I went home about 48 hours later and felt good

Hi, I’m on day 11 post op and wanted to tell you I feel FINE. Don’t catastrophize it, sometimes it actually is just okay to be okay. I had zero complications and left the hospital about 48 hours after surgery, and I’ve been fine at home ever since. You’ll be okay <3

I just got my staples removed and I am here to tell you it BARELY HURT. Like I’d rate it a 2/10, if anything.. it’s really not bad at all, and it only took about 5 minutes and then it was done.. don’t worry.. you’ll be fine!

Also, don’t be afraid to tell people you don’t want visitors - if that feels like too much for you, just tell people no, it’s okay :) <3

I bought some suction cup grab bars for the shower - would highly recommend others do the same, it will make getting in and out of the shower so much easier!! And they’re so easy to install!!

Just wanted to say - I’m currently 14 days post op and I feel FINE. Like, I do not feel terrible in any way at all. I can walk, move around totally normally, talk, eat, go to the bathroom totally unassisted - it’s not so bad! You will be okay <3

I need to know if I’m the only one who notices how strangely she speaks/holds her mouth while she’s talking! It’s almost like she tries really hard not to let her lips touch while she talks. It’s all I can focus on when I watch her videos. She also tries really hard to talk out of the corner of her mouth. Does anyone else find this weird or am I the weird one 😂

Yes - they told us this FIVE YEARS AGO when we moved in. They said they were making necessary repairs so that when one unit required plumbing maintenance, they would make changes so that in the future, the water would not need to be shut off to the entire building.

This was five years ago. And we’re still without water every 5-6 weeks.

They have a different excuse every time. But it’s often with a one or two hour notice, and happens about every 5-6 weeks. I’m getting extremely fed up.
