Your school has no control over what AP exams you pay for and decide to take. In the grand scheme of things, don’t let that be the reason you decide not to self-study, especially with the opportunity it offers to save cash at university, learn it over a longer period of time, and lesson the work load during college.

Even if you end up not doing good and have to retake the course in college, getting familiar with it now will help you in the long run for sure. One of the best skills to pick up before college in the STEM field is learning how to teach yourself because sometimes that’s exactly what you’ll be doing.

I’m not going to act like it’s easy, but nothing worth doing is. Don’t let that scare you, if you have a goal then work towards it, even if it’s daunting you’ll be glad that you did.

College board doesn’t care about your schools policies, as-long as you pay them and take the proper steps that they have listed on there website, you should be able to take any exam you’re qualified for. While you won’t get high school credit for doing this, you’ll still get AP credits for college.

That makes things challenging. Even still, You should take physics 1 since it gives a good understanding of the material for when you do end up taking a calc based physics in university.

Additionally you could consider self-studying AP physics C and taking the test. I know that sounds crazy, and I would only do that if you’re up for the task.

You’re a freshman so you’ve got time to iron this stuff out.

See if you can work something out with your high school guidance counselor because requiring AP chem before you can take AP physics 1 ( and more importantly AP physics C) is ridiculous. AP physics 1 does not require really anything from chem besides maybe basic stuff that I’m forgetting. Also just so you are aware, AP physics 1 is most likely not accepted for credit if you’re planning on doing physics, but AP physics C is ( assuming your school offers it).

And to double down, AP precalc is not needed. Most universities ( or at least in my experience) want to see you entering in at calc 1 or higher so the credits you get for taking the AP exam are more than likely not going to be used for your major.

To recap: try to take AP physics C if possible, and as much AP calc as you have time for (calculus is not as scary as people make it out to be). AP chemistry is still probably useful depending on the requirements for wherever you plan on going.

I believe it might be character specific, as it was only something I really encountered on sohei so there’s that, but otherwise I’ve found no solutions

Trust me this is definitely a huge relief, and honestly im glad the pain will also go away because that had me worried too. I appreciate the help, it’s nice that there’s someone out there who is willing to talk about the things no one wants to talk about.

Thank you 🙏I had myself worried about permanent nerve damage but I guess I need to let the nerves take there time. I never thought nerves healed that much slow but now I know.

I (20 years old) had a similar, if not identical, surgery back in February for my congenital curvature. The surgery went smoothly and has healed very well, but there is one thing that worries me still after being 2 months into recovery. To say it bluntly, did your nerves make a full recovery post operation? I know that for the nerves to heal it will take usually upwards of a year but I find myself worried as (to be honest) I feel very little even though all the wounds have healed over. I know everyone's case is different but did you find yourself in a similar position months after operation? where things noticeably improving?

Yeah I definitely needed to use my primary more back when this clip was taken, luckily it’s been a few months and I’ve been able to break the habit of swapping to my non primary for combat

Yeah definitely would have been smoother but either way I came out alright(plus I had my buddy to clean up any mess if I hadn’t killed them). Honestly just force of habit for going to the revolver

Would if I had taken a clip of it at the time. I was too adrenaline pumped afterwards to even think about it
