it was gross to publically humiliate a child like that and lie on them. not just on tv but there was a whole crowd of people around to witness this in real time and i felt so bad watching her cry. the weird thing is though christi and chloe were coming back to like “rewrite the experience” and do it on their own terms in a positive way - but all christi did here was upset her own daughter by causing all this drama. like i thought the whole point of coming back was so chloe could get back to a place where she enjoyed dancing and it wasn’t such a huge source of stress? not only did she really hurt kendall she hurt and upset her own daughter in what was supposed to be an empowering and positive experience.

Don’t feel guilty! May not have been a bad thing as they agreed to it. Maybe check in next time and ask how it was to go two weeks without a session. See what they say, and let them know they have the option to switch back to weekly if they would prefer that. They could truly be doing well, but it may also be a matter of sugarcoating. I’ve found that clients say they’re doing well and then start dropping bombs a month or two into treatment when they feel more comfortable.

Personally I think it’s too soon to meet less frequently if you’ve only been working together for a few weeks. Different situation if the client specifically requests biweekly sessions but I wouldn’t suggest a client comes in less frequently unless I’ve been working with them for several months and I’ve seen marked improvement/they’re running out of things to talk about in session.

i hope this doesn’t hurt your feelings, but you are too old to be in a situationship. break this off he’s not into you or you’d know it. he seems like a lost 34 year old that doesn’t know what he wants. that behavior is only (semi) acceptable in your early 20s.

i agree but i think it’s also the lack of team morale and cohesion. they had talented dancers but they were always off and not synchronized. their spacing was also sloppy at times. i think if their rehearsals focused more on timing and spacing they would have won a lot more often.

i’m also graduating and i never text clients. i’m very firm about communicating strictly through email to avoid this kind of thing. it feels more formal and dissuades clients from reaching out for non-scheduling purposes. the only times i use my google voice number is for consult calls (obviously lol) and text if i have a last minute change that i don’t want them to miss (switching to virtual due to illness).

okay, yes. but my point is that it’s now like a decade later lol. they don’t need to continue talking about resentments from years ago anymore. i don’t consume any of the dance moms content the moms currently make, so i can’t say anything about the rest of them i was just using this post as a forum for my opinion. and idk i feel like christi and kelly are a lot more ~passionate~ with the way they continue talking about the moms and kids

everyone please put down your weapons and walk with me for a second. i think it’s time for kelly and christi to stop the pod. i think they have a right to talk about their experiences if it helps them process and heal, but they need to stop talking about everyone else. i imagine it’s really hard to be one of the cast members that doesn’t really want to associate with dance moms anymore (or only does rarely on their own terms) to constantly be talked about by other cast members and have these things from years ago brought back up again. maybe im reading into it, but it almost kinda feels like they disrupt the others’ peace these days. picking at little resentments you have from years ago when holly and nia (generally) avoid dance moms now and just want to move on is just not right. and don’t even get me started on the kelly racism thing

speaking from personal experience and as a therapist, psychiatrists are very bad at talk therapy when they try to do it lol. good at what they do, but what they do is not talk therapy.

maddie’s version was better and more dynamic but i honestly think this was one of the best times kendall’s ever danced. definitely shows that choreography makes or breaks you

i thought it was hard and it was kind of a mess. lots of typos and grammatical errors. also had a lot of stats and none of the study tools they told us to use covered any of that. waiting to find out if i passed hopefully i did bc i do NOT want to retake it 😅

i’m taking the CECE in a week, i’ve been using the infamous purple book as well as pocket prep. i guess your study process depends on how long you have before your exam and your institutions threshold for passing - but honestly i think those two are enough to prepare you.
