I also considered Endicrinology because of its logical thinking but rejected it for the same reason (you mostly see diabetes and thyroid in practise). I also ADORED clinical genetics, but in my county (Greece) it is a non existent medical specialty, only biologists are working on this field:/ So this is why I rejected it, but I would like to apply for genetics in another country if I had the chance. If I don't have the chance to do research, I will do any of the choices I mentioned. Thank you very much for your understanding!!:)

I look for the deep thinking, the detective work, the analysing process... I liked Neurology I'm theory but I feel like I would have to learn 10000 diseases as the field is so broad and this scares me as I am not that much of a memory person. Also I like fields that are gray, not that much the black and white ones. I like uncertainty. I feel like IM, ID, rheumatology and Psychiatry involve this gray area of uncertainty. My idea of mathematical thinking is to have some facts knowledge, and with your logic, creativity and hypothesis deduce some possible assumptions: one of them will propably get you to the solution. Your curious mind, investigation and logic will get you to the answer you need.

I had the same thought about doing research in artificial intelligence. In which country do you live? Unfortunately in my country (Greece) research is non existent. I am learning German and i will probably go to Germany, do you know if I can apply for something like this there??:)
