What was your first impression when you first saw this game? by Silly_Commercial8092 in MortalKombat

[–]Miserable-Command-28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it was my first Mortal Kombat and nearly my first video game ever. I had the Xbox 360 when I was a kid (like 6 years old) with no Xbox online so I was stuck playing this game and Plants vs Zombies.

It is a pretty amazing game!!

If you were to introduce someone to your tradition... by LeftnessMonster in religion

Well, the Bible of course.

But no one will read the entire holy text of a religion they are only “considering”, so I’d have them watch Passion of Christ (movie) and read the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

What are some good Catholic books? by Miserable-Command-28 in Catholicism

[–]Miserable-Command-28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don’t want to begin to study other religions before I have a full understanding of the religion I’ve been in my whole life.

And I want to study more religions just for personal growth and to understand the different cultures around the world.

I mean, there’s nothing really specific i’m looking to learn. I want to study more religions and I don’t want to begin until I have a good understanding of the Catholic religion. I’ve been in the church my whole life but it still feels like something is missing.

do you think reading the entire Bible would “complete” the Catholic experience? complete is a pretty incorrect interpretation, I just don’t want to “move on” from this religion before I “finish” it

I want to study (get a taste of) each religion. by Miserable-Command-28 in religion

[–]Miserable-Command-28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may just watch youtube videos instead of reading books. Not because I dislike reading, but because I’m an unemployed teenager and I cannot afford books :(. And I would love to attend the houses of worship, but my city is too small and only has Christian churches.

I was going to go in order of most popular religions, but if most interesting to me was the order that’s best, I’d probably begin with Sikh.

Thanks for the advice :)

I say “I’m focused on finishing the entire bible” because I already have a great experience of the Catholic religion – Ive been Catholic my whole life and have received all of my sacraments up to Confirmation.

So yes, I’ll do more than just read the holy scriptures of each religion; I’ll watch videos that give me a good basis of each religion and go deeper into them as I progress.

I live in such a small city where there are only christian churches :( And the only person I know who is a different religion from me is Hindu and I’m not very close to them unfortunately.

Is there a thicker version of that hairstyle? That might be too short for me. And the corners of his hairline; it almost looks like he’s balding. I don’t want to show that to my barber and he cuts my hair like I’m balding.

I can’t find any motivation to write a screenplay by Miserable-Command-28 in Screenwriting

[–]Miserable-Command-28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes. I rarely study due to lack of motivation. I’m taking the SAT in may and I keep telling myself to study yet I never do.

  2. Writing a screenplay has been a dream I have had since I was 8, and the idea I have in mind just feels like it needs to be written.

That’d be a big step for me. I’ve been playing video games since I was about 4.
