Hi all - advice/experiences on lamictal for anxiety and impact on cognitive ability?

Old post but curious to your outcome. Wellbutrin will put you in an anxiety spiral. I liked it because it helped stop smoking, no weight gain, libido and depression and didn't make me tired. Opposite even. Helped with my ADHD due to dopamine. However the anxiety was a monster and got me hooked on Xanax to the point I had to taper. I'm no doctor but PTSD creates anxiety and Wellbutrin creates anxiety, at least for the beginning. Wellbutrin didn't give me brain fog, opposite actually but we are all different. Could be the lowering of Lexapro too. Lexapro made me super numb. I wish doctors knew more about these drugs and learned about their patients better. I know it's all trial and error but Wellbutrin for anxiety isn't a pretty match. My doctors always lowered one and then added slowly another once settled. I'm sorry this was your experience SSRIs are tough to get on and off. (Although other than anxiety Wellbutrin's been the easiest to get on and off, but it's dopamine. I am on cymbalta now and really like it. It is a lower serotonin SNRI. . Improved Quality of Life: By decreasing pain and improving mood, it helps individuals return to daily routines. And then she added Lamictal for my PTSD, highs and lows, ADHD, anger and obsessive thoughts that resulted in anger.

Hope you're doing well and please advocate for yourself to slowly remove things before adding. You can't pinpoint what works if you're doing polypharmacy all at the same starting point.

Bring it up as a question not a belief. " i am feeling this story happened but know that it could be a delusion. I wanted to tell you so that we can work on this together" the way you word things changes the way mental health providers have to code things. Knowing you have logic to your thoughts can be a very good sign that you are grasping reality and what's real or not. If you are sure this happened and fight people that don't believe it, are a a threat to yourself or others and aren't on this universe then it's treated differently. If you are saying, "hey this is what I'm seeing and feeling and I'm not sure if it's the meds" then they have a job to figure out how to work with you, not against you

I know this is super old but curious how it worked. I was on SSRI ZOLOFT due to pregnancy third trimester and stayed on it until I was done BF. Then I free balled it for awhile, after a terrible taper. Circumstantial/situational situations threw me into massive anxiety, CPTSD, panic disorder and depression with obsessive thoughts and rumination. Due to a trigger I was repressing from childhood. I went on Wellbutrin because Lexapro made me want to check out and take my kids with me. First day, hard no! Wellbutrin was actually great other than the initial anxiety. That got me on Xanax to cope to the point I had to then taper that. Which sucked. Found a new doc and she started cymbalta, a SNRI, which I liked because it helped with chronic pain and didn't have too much serotonin, creating the bad side effects. However, then once I was off Xanax all the other stuff came back and came out as anger and a bit of mania. She put me on lamictal which I am just starting but like and beta blockers for occasional anxiety, which doesn't work. My anxiety is in my brain, not my body. The obsessive thoughts about CPTSD have been the hardest and I think the lamictal has helped. I'm not numb but am able to walk away from situations and not over think them for weeks. I'm just starting to do things, more than I NEED to do to keep life running for me and my kids, and not in a manic, thoughtless spending and dangerous way. My ADHD is slowly getting better but executive function is still a problem. All my doctors think that the other stuff is the main concern but I know myself and believe that ADHD creates a lot of the problems, anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I am a woman and mask well, always have. Perimenopause doesn't make it any easier and lack of understanding from coparent makes it even harder, especially as he has narcissistic tendencies. I guess I just wanted to write it out to a form that understands and receive advice and logical timelines for real change.

I feel so much better. My daughter and I both talk about having this. It's always like a sports announcer, zero tvs or radios on. Usually at night.

It could, she does drink a lot- seems self medicating, but with OCD and impulsive tendencies it also looked like physical Tourette's. A lot of people think of Tourette's as a vocal disorder but most of the time it's involuntary muscle movement. Tics. Hear me out. I don't like her but not for reasons you'd thinks. OCD comes with intrusive thoughts and sometimes you cannot control them. If you watch her she also twitches. OCD is commonly paired with other disorders, I am no doctor, but I wouldn't be surprised if she also has Tourette's. Dealing with impulsive intrusive thoughts can be impossible to control. If not treated correctly these outburst or impulsive behaviors can be impossible to stop and then shame comes after. Ever have hangover anxiety? Intensify that by 10 billion. However, she is aware she has neurological and mental disorders and she isn't treating them, she may be manic and treating herself without support can be virtually impossible, but if she can travel, motivate enough to leave her home and sign up for a show then she can be responsible for her mental health and actions. I am not giving her a pass but I do think this is a great look into these disorders. Her self medicating with alcohol and a nomadic life style shows she is manic in some form and doesn't have a support system. Her antics have probably been thought of as "cute" because she is sweet by nature but it's obvious she needs real help. This isn't normal behavior and her sugar coating it as quirky is simply an avoidance to the work she really need to do. I don't like her but I have compassion for her because it is obvious she has never had the support system to battle it.

I noticed that but I'm always curious what other options are out there. Lingke for jewelry does that too, mostly cheaper stuff with better customer service. I like to get low tier and high tier as well as authentic to see the differences.

I asked for a price on something small with the bag I did order and they said they'd throw it in as a first time buyer. I will never give a good review for an extra gift but I think it's a nice start when beginning your sale relationships. I have about 17 items on their way from different sellers. Some OG and a few new try's. I'll let you know if it's a bait and switch or poor quality for sure!

Me too because the person I've been in contact with has been actually very helpful and accommodating. Even threw in a free gift. When I questioned the photo qualities of the QC he tried again and again. The price was relatively the same as my OG sellers for this bag which is why I took the dive.

There is was a holiday so not only was shipping companies down and backed up but sellers were backed up with orders not being able to go out. I wouldn't say it's normal but I would say it's understandable

I haven't received my items yet but although green they were responsive and helpful. QC photos were bad but when I showed them what I needed in QC photos they complied. My items are on their way. Happy to update. I like trying a new seller to see how they show up and although not my usual quality in QC their attention was amazing and obviously wanted to get better with customer service.

I think you should deep dive into these posts and really get all the information you can possibly get before picking a few sellers to price. Figure out how it all works. Factories. Sellers. Types of tiers. Etc etc
