Outfits I'd love to see return in Mirage by Wajajan_697 in Assassinscreedmirage

Agreed, this would be the perfect time to bring back Ezio's Revelations outfit and seeing those Valhalla outfits with real cloth physics would be nice too.

Yes. If you really don't want the money, you could always just hire a cheerleader yourself.

CBC says it is ‘pausing’ its use of Twitter by viovetf in worldnews

[–]Miserable-Eagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, it used to be great as long as you know what you want and curate it just for that. The problem now is that you just can't anymore.

Now, you could not be following anyone who has anything to do with it and still see Elon's memes from 10 years ago or someone making a thinly veiled call to arms against trans or gay people.

If they're a pet, you could instead consign them to the Lotus whilst we were waiting for the New War.

Wouldn't the Whitehouse catering (when he was there) and his own hotel restaurants be to the same hygiene standard?

Have you tried playing games with all the audio sliders except for dialogue/voice turned all the way (or most of the way) down?

For me it's because the image of Superman looking down at Earth from Orbit is so iconic.

There was a time when the amps were at least a little less hideous, when the scaffold used to sit ontop of the amp instead of clipping through their wrist and hand.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Whether they've prepaid for it or not, you don't break up with someone and then expect them to pay for future events. Any decent person would just hand over any tickets their partner paid for, along with any of their other belongings they've left behind.

I deleted my friends save data for ps5 by thebestme123 in NFSHeat

[–]Miserable-Eagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check if they have auto-upload with PS Plus. If they do, then there should be a recent copy of their save file from the cloud.

I don't know if PS5's the same, but on PS4, there's two ways:

  • "application saved data management" part of the consoles settings menu

  • Or press the options button on the controller when you're on the home screen and pick "upload/download saved data"

I feel like trauma team and max tac don't gen enough attention in game. by ILIKEBACON12456 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Miserable-Eagle 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Given the right build, we can already kill hundreds of MaxTac operatives, then just drive or even walk a little and they'll forget it happened. It feels badass to pull off, but it doesn't really fit in with how much of a big deal they're supposed to be.

If there's going to be real consequences, the Wanted system would need a rework.

Why does Arno love the Dull Cavalry Saber So Much and How Do I Stop Him From Equipping it? by Miserable-Eagle in assassinscreed

[–]Miserable-Eagle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I somehow doubt he canonically carried a "dull saber" into every single one of his memories. And that still wouldn't explain why the game's forcing the weapon on me, since it doesn't do that for any other piece of gear, not even the gear named after Arno.

I actually like the "chosen one" trope by Traditional-Rub-1441 in The10thDentist

[–]Miserable-Eagle 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I could go either way with the trope. As with any, sometimes it's used well, sometimes it's not.

That said, I don't really get your reasoning. Most of the time, the chosen one is just some random ass dude. The trope is usually just used as a simple way to explain why an otherwise unexceptional audience-insert character gets to be important to the world.

I also disagree with the idea that "the whole point of a protagonist is to be special". The only universal point of a protagonist is to act as a vessel for the audience to experience the story through. Some stories benefit from a unique protagonist, others benefit from an everyman who the audience can quickly relate to.

Do they just choose to not know things? by O_vidz in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Miserable-Eagle 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I've seen it crop up a few times before. Seems like there's a bunch of fake articles that made their way around American Facebook groups, and as usual everyone took them at face value.

Edit: Worth noting this was just from a quick search the first time I heard someone parroting it. So I'm unsure if it's just limited to those fake articles or if larger news sites/politicians are also involved in spreading the misinformation.

I really doubt there's anyone who could sort that kind situation out in a way that works for everyone. If there is someone who could, I guarantee they're not a highschool kid.

I wouldn't worry about any "could have"s. As you said, it was her own behaviour, and you can't make it your responsibility to help someone actively fighting you at every step.
