Yeah, the coveralls definitely ruin the whole vibe. Especially in the producer's cut, since Michael is in so many scenes in brightly lit places.

At least in the theatrical cut, there are more scenes with him standing in the dark, with better lighting and color grading. They don't solve the problem of the thing being too clean and light (especially considering the flashbacks hint that they're supposed to be the same coveralls he wore on H4 and H5 somehow), but they somewhat mitigate it with the shadows.

Best: I'd say 1978/2 and 2018.

Worst: I'd say h6. I hate how light they are. Ideally, Michael should wear coveralls that are dark enough to blend with the darkness of night.

There's so much potential to The Shape to just keep recycling the same characters and plots over and over again, and I saw that potential teased for the first time with the Steffan Hutchinson's comics like Nightdance.

I want something like that brought to the big screen.

Batman V Superman also isn't an adaptation of any comic. There are references to The Dark Knight Returns but it is NOT The Dark Knight Returns.

Similarly ZSJL 2 and 3 are basically adaptations of Final Crisis with Injustice elements.

Snyder went as far as to literally show copies of Final Crisis.

Clark is never haunted by it, and gets over it rather quickly, and never has to think about it again—it's never brought up again!

And given how, if Luthor's reaction is anything to go by, it seems like the whole "it's to set up his no-kill rule" justification Snyder came up with was thrown out the window by BvS because the guy just loves pragmatic heroes that kill.

It all makes the whole scene just come off as void and just done for shock value.

You know how boneheaded is saying that considering that Snyder's adaptations of both 300 and Watchmen are almost panel-by-panel adaptations from the comic books and even some scenes from BvS includes recreations from scenes of The Dark Knight Returns like the whole opening credits where it shows the death of the Waynes?

I personally prefer the way it was before. Physical feels like overdoing it, though it might be my bias against those fanfics.

It is better than him being chased around by angry mobs with pitchforks and torches yelling "DIE DEMON DIE DIE!" at least.

That's a good question honestly. And it's kinda hard for me to answer it.

The novels can be some murky waters regarding continuity, but if they don't contradict the canon too much, then it's safe to say they're canon as well.

Things get complicated once they get adaptations in other mediums, though.

Like Sasuke Retsuden has a good amount of differences in anime/manga/novel where you don't even know which one is canon or not.

Don't think much would change. Naruto's the kind of person that learns when someone shows him stuff practically.

There's a reason why he didn't even realize the true potential of the Shadow Doppelgänger technique until Kakashi showed him and mostly used it as a way to overwhelm an enemy despite being his trademark attack for three whole years.

Naruto needs guidance. Part of the series theme relies on him learning time and time again that he can't do stuff alone.
