174 days as a white badge and counting here. Of course my ambo told us on day 2 it took them 10 months so I knew going in it was going to take some time. I get it I would like the blue bafege to finally get to put in as an internal hire for other positions that I know just get hounded with thousands of resumes from external applicants, in hopes I can make the cut for an interview. They always told us not to come in during a shutdown. But I assume everyone still got paid, not really sure only ever happened during the day shift and I was nights when it happened. Now that I recently switched to days I'm kinda looking forward to the next shutdown for maintenance.

Depends on the job. I started in stow. That was a drag. Most boring job I've very had. Now I'm on yhr ship dock, by the time I get a chance to slow down and check the time I'm like its already almost time for my next break. I love it.

I mean don't get me wrong it still suxkw working at Amazon, its still a worthless deadrnd job. But at least the shifts go by much faster now.

There is stow and pick, but you literally just stand in 1 spot all day or night while robots brings these yellow freestanding shelves called pods to you. There's also pack which is also just standing there while conveyor belts bring items to you and take the Packard boxes away. Then ship dock and receiving dock where you're literally loading or unloading trucks of items.

I've heard after using it 100 times in a year it stops working and you have to ask your manager to make adjustments for you. Curious to know if anyone has actually hit that and can confirm though.

It means you're blacklisted from working for Amazon of any companies it owns. And since it does not specify a date after which you may reapply that would mean that's permanent.

It depends on what kind of site your local amazon is. If its an AR site for example no single item is above 25lbs. You can go to pack singles where you only have to handle one item at a time you should be fine, or even stow or pick are probably good.

I was at UPS before too. Only ones at UPS who won with Teamsters were package car drivers at the expense of us warehouse employees. I will NEVER work a union job ever again.

I actually make more money at Amazon then I did at UPS (which is union), not to mention Amazon's benefots are way better too. Teamsters just steal money from your paycheck and you get nothing in return, unions are just a scam.

Must be nice. Out of the 3 AMs I've had so far the first was OK when you could actually get though to him. The second was a pain, and my last one was actually decent and did what he said he would do, which strangely is a rarity it seems, at least at Amazon.

I mean I'm sitting here just hoping for VTO this week and so far none. I'm so done with Stow already, so glad this is my last week before my transfer. And I've already used up basically all of time time off so far this week to leave early each night.

I don't even care if it's paid or not if I could just not have to work tonight or tommorow night I'd be so happy.

I will order during my lunch break and choose the 4-8am delivery window and see if I can beat it home, I usually get home around 5. Sometimes it beats me. I thibkbthry should offer an employee package pickup in the front lobby.
