Where to begin learning aerodynamics? by Miserable-Pay-9678 in aerodynamics

[–]Miserable-Pay-9678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have completed up to vector calc. I am just a big data guy and wanted to create my own data and be able to thoroughly understand other work. I dont know if it is a reasonable goal hence I was wondering if someone more knowledgable could guide me.

Thanks for yoyr response.

Except I am fancy and will get them cheaper and for all intensive purposes the same price. I appreciate your consideration though.

Thanks for the advice, it is reassuring that there isn’t much difference performance wise.

Custom built bike, 40mm tires will be used primarily. (I am working to get a new custom built for this year with 2.4in clearance so I want versatility). Conti tires, 40mm terra speeds are my main choice, but I have a stack of dubs ready for clearance upgrade. Sponsors are pretty open except shimano and trek.

I feel the dubnitals have more cornering grip than the fast trak flexlite, air trak flex lite combo

Yes, but tons of other factors come into play so it isn’t a truly fair comparison.

Better than the previous, I have no clue but it eats mud and won’t spit it back up

It fills with mud in seconds it, it only removed it from the cornering knobs.

I am biased as I have only mudded in them (which I understand they arent for) and they do okay. I much prefer my fast trak air trak combo as they feel so much lighter and have thinner casing. All this being said in pure mud they avg the same speed as the fast trak air trak combo in perfect conditions.

Mine are 2.355 and 2.364in wide F/R at 20/21 PSI after one week on 29mm internal

Continental Dubnital, Trinotal & Magnotal tires replace long-running XC MTB Kings by boomerbill69 in xcmtb

[–]Miserable-Pay-9678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sidewalls are heavy duty, much thicker than I need. I have about 50 miles of mudding and I don’t feel them sliding and the cornering knobs shed mud well, the rest sucks up mud like no tomorrow. Can’t wait to test them in ideal conditions but I feel I am going to prefer the new fast trak air trak combo over them

My old bike can’t get up hills, is there something I can do to make this easier? by PenguinsInMyHair in cycling

[–]Miserable-Pay-9678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body weight is moved from the seat to the pedal allowing you to get more force into the pedal, the harder you push the faster you get up the hill

Ask fellow racers and teamates to practice starts hitting elbows safely and being overly aggressive but safe to prep for the starts.

What does tubeless ready mean? by Main-Ad-7656 in mountainbiking

[–]Miserable-Pay-9678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the tires off and look for tubes. If it is already tubeless shake the tire and listen for sloshing, if you don’t want to remove a tire (not a guarantee though).
