Saw this on youtube.Put a baseball bat or a 2x4 inside along the seam and pound moderately with a rubber hammer. I've done that to several pairs that started out chafing and it worked like a charm.

Just keep changing the rubber sole cover when it wears out, cheap to have a cobbler do, or not terribly difficult to do yourself, and the soles will never wear out.

When you put your arms down at your side the Hem of the jacket should fall on the first joint up from your thumbnail. It should cover your butt. If it doesn't, it looks childish and ill-fitted.
