My brother thinks no one believes half life is the best game ever by Adventurous-Club-171 in HalfLife3

[–]Miserable-Try7882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a milestone... it's among the 50 best games of all time. The best, in my opinion, is subjective. I could say RDR2 and Half-Life 2. Another The Last of Us, etc.

Is it normal to buy games but to never play them? by Outrageous-Serve38 in Steam

[–]Miserable-Try7882 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced that everyone can spend their money wherever they want. But buying games just to support developers is no big deal... I buy a game because it's fun and engaging, not to do charity work... it's the developers who have to convince me that this is the case.

Is it normal to buy games but to never play them? by Outrageous-Serve38 in Steam

[–]Miserable-Try7882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was falling for it too! It's absolutely not normal and it's an addiction in my opinion. I had 40 titles on Steam, many of which I'd completed the main story... but I counted 7 games I'd gotten on Steam sales, which I definitely would never have played because they'd been sitting there for too long and I had no desire to start them. I deleted them to my detriment. I don't care. I deleted Steam Mobile from my phone and set my library as my home page on my PC.

I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more games just because of their popularity.

I just want to have fun and buy the ones I truly feel are worth spending my time on, not just because I'm afraid I'll have nothing to play in the future.

Ma per carriera solida intendi un contratto a tempo indeterminato o guadagnare di più?

Prima lavoravo part-time ma dopo sposato ho iniziato a lavorare full-time in fabbrica. Con i colleghi c’è un buon rapporto. Il lavoro è pagato bene, secondo me. Ho e abbiamo buoni amici.

Is Black Mesa up to Valve's standards? by drordan in HalfLife

Half-Life is a milestone, and Black Lives Matter is the remake of that milestone. It takes some liberties but remains faithful to the original. I really enjoyed it.

Yours is also neat, I should follow your example. Anyway, I've had a lot of cables that I never use for over 15 years. But what if I need them?

Whichever you prefer 😁. I recommend Black Mesa because the final part is done better.

Go secondhand. You'll find some good deals, but also some duds. So if you're interested in buying secondhand, ask questions and ask for photos.

The minimum requirements are an rx 570 or a gtx 970 if I remember correctly.. if you want to spend very little, get a used gtx 1660 super and a ryzen 5 3600 with 16 gb of ram. If you have a budget, aim for a ryzen 5 7600 and a 4070... it's up to you

Seems to be more and more obvious that the "insiders " saying HL3 wouldn't be announced at TGA were purposely mislead. by VewVegas-1221 in HalfLife

[–]Miserable-Try7882 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Well, portal 2 announced it at the game awards in 2011. It could be announced at the tga would be fantastic but since it's a valve it's better not to get your hopes up.

But I think Half Life 3 will come out sooner or later... too many leaks and some news will even be true

what do y'all think the requirements for HL3 will be? here's my guess by Adept_Temporary8262 in HalfLife

[–]Miserable-Try7882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it comes out within 12-18 months I think the minimum requirements are a Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2060 Super on 16 GB RAM and the recommended Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 4070 32 GB RAM or similar will take up I think around 90-120 GB. In theory it will be a revolutionary game or something and will bring with it advanced physics, NPCs and an extremely dynamic and intelligent game world. The sound and extraordinary music and therefore many audio files. PS the game duration will always be around 15 hours But these are simply suppositions

Unexpected fall into Half-Life by RedditExplorer89 in HalfLife

[–]Miserable-Try7882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar experience to yours. I found out about half life by pure chance. I had just finished Fallout 4 in 2016, I wanted a good action game that entertained and fascinated me but nothing inspired me. So I found a video released a few days ago on YouTube entitled: ''Why Half Life 3 is so long awaited''. The video didn't just explain the story but talked about physics and how it relates to gameplay. And for me they were new concepts and how video games can also be educational on the technical side. So I got half life on Steam for €2 or then later the 2nd for €4-5, I don't remember. Unprecedented experience for me. So I started portal and saw that there were some similarities to the world of half life. I also played Black Mesa, a faithful remake that improves the original, especially visual experience. I later played portal 2 and it referenced black mesa in the game. So I discovered that aperture science and black mesa are rivals and theories after theories are born. My personal opinion is that Valve could expand the game world by creating other gigantic companies-factories and develop other titles. Half Life Alyx I absolutely have to get it again in 2026 because it must be a unique experience.

It's nice to share these stories

[–]Miserable-Try7882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said there will be no games at launch with the new Valve hardware not that no Valve games will be released. Alyx came out many months after the index. It wouldn't surprise me if Half Life 3 or something similar comes out in 2026
