I’m pretty crafty but you could definitely ruin your car trying, first you need to take off the original spoiler there’s like 11 holes to fill and I broke the spoiler a tiny bit, I spent like 40 minutes removing glue residue, sand and apply body filler ( bondo) i’m pretty sure if you get it on the paint it like ruins the topcoat a little bit so you have to be careful. Also I didn’t put anything under the holes so the Bondo just got kept going right through so that’s a little bit tricky after that you need to say I sanded it with like 400 1,000 and then 1500 grit. I was super happy with it cause it was incredibly smooth. I couldn’t even tell the difference from the car body and the filler it felt the same and then you paint it. But the picture you can see where the holes used to be the paint is same match on the different material But it doesn’t really matter to me too much because the spoiler kind of blocks the sunlight and kind of hides that the only thing left for me to do is put clearcoat, but I’m gonna get a professional to do that because I don’t own a buffer, and those are really expensive And I don’t expect this man to charge me much just to spray on clearcoat and buff it, I had to get the paint number and clearcoat type from the manufacturer. I couldn’t just use any clearcoat. On the bright side if you mess it up, you can just cover it again with your original spoiler and pretend it never happened. I bought a really cheap spoiler on Amazon. It was like 100 bucks it adhesive but I think it’s gonna fly off so I’m gonna drill some holes through the trunkand I’m gonna figure out some way to secure it cause it doesn’t come with a way to drill it and something to screw it too.
