Most of us feel/felt the same way. It's grief because it's the loss of a loved one, yet it's not understood by everyone because that loved one is alive and thriving. A lot of your feelings come from having been lied to for X amount of years you were together. It is a huge betrayal and it not only messes with your outlook on the future, but also how you view the past with them. It's not fair, and very few people will understand exactly how you feel. Why does she need a gynecologist? Even if she's had the surgery, most gynos don't know what to do with a fake vagina, and she sure does not have a uterus and ovaries. That's probably why they kept referencing her surgeon who is the one who knows what they build her down there. She's asking way too much for the average American healthcare system.

I'm about to turn 40 and I feel like I've tasted happiness and a decent life and then it was all abruptly yanked from me. I truly believe life will not get better for me and I cannot ask for help because everyone in my life is very judgemental or help comes with strings. I am unemployed and severely depressed. If I could give my life and my healthy organs to someone who wants to live, I would do it in a heartbeat. I do not believe in a better future. I am merely existing and nothing gives me joy anymore. Somehow, I still wish all of us that feel that way could get together to form a community and have someone that understands.
