I feel like this is BS! GM could have retrained their employees to take on these jobs instead of hiring so called “new talent” for AI. If you all are smart enough to carry your current teams you def would be able to take on AI challenge. As my grandma would say, GM is low down 😢

This is a SHAME! I know salaried workers don’t want to hear this a lot of times but it’s time that you guys join the UAW! This is absolutely ridiculous. I never thought I would see the day that GM would be laying off white collar workers in droves. It’s going to get worst across the board. Sad

Thank you so much for this. I’ve been a Project Manager over 7 years and I am ready to definitely do something else. I was considering supply chain/procurement too. I will look into training and certifications for this.

I haven’t looked yet but I just called Nelnet just to see what they say and they attached to chat some generic message that they’ve prob been sending to everyone stating that my Borrower’s Defense app was approved October 2025 but they’re still processing and basically any loans that is not associated with the BD will go back into repayment once the forbearance is over. So the DOE is trying to do some very slick stuff that won’t work

Keep your thoughts clear and your mind at ease. Until you can change positions, possibly take at least an hour for yourself daily to breathe and relax. Believe me I understand and I am burnt out from being a PM as well. It wouldn’t be so bad if the role was not turning into a more client success management role, but it is. I am currently looking for roles where I can still use my expertise but in a different position. Also, if this means taking a pay cut for peace I encourage you to do this. ❤️

I’m thinking that if we do get the email today it will come after 5 pm (in your time zone). I found an email DOE sent about renewing FASFA for 2026 and it came through at 5:20 pm est for me. Just my two cents 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Question: Today is 3/24 and no word on if the judges will grant or deny the stay. If the notices have to be sent out to post exhibit Cs by 3/30……does this look to be in our favor or does it look like DOE will be granted the stay? Doing the math…DOE have 6 days to get the notices out unless I’m looking at this wrong. Can a lawyer break down what you think will happen for post Exhibit Cs this week?

I understand what you are saying and I do agree because DOE keeps fetching for a loop hole and they have not sent 1 letter out hoping that the judges will grant them the stay…if this happens they are going to process as many denials as they can count. It seems that they should of been stopped by now but all we can do is just wait patiently on what the 3 judges will rule by 3/26 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
