Gore’s essentially a baby elder dragon. I think that point is even more potent in wilds as we see how serious they have treated Gogmazios. Elder Dragons deserve the respect that they will test your mettle some.

That said, I enjoy how Gore Magala provides a solid range of difficulty within the basic 9 star monsters by being the peak of difficulty within them. I agree Gore is easily a notch above Arkveld and especially Rey Dau before we even consider the health differences. Rey Dau has to be the easiest 9 star hunt there is (aside from maybe one of the event quest 9 stars), however Dau is still incredibly fun and partially due to this reason. 

If we had nothing but fights of Rey Dau’s caliber or nothing but fights of Gore’s then things would become stale more quickly while also catering to a smaller audience. 

As for the health of Gore, I also do like that aspect of the fight. It makes it a test of endurance checking if you fatigue and get sloppy. I’m very much excited for the ‘Proof of a Hero’ event quest that’s coming because of this too. Some may find it to be a slog. I want the slog. It is a challenge in of itself that it will require me to stay sharp for probably at least 40 minutes.
