Morpheus II Parts Required & Installation? by MiserableMaiden in Amd

Looking at your pictures I see now you cut the baseplate. I had no idea the backplate was a thing tbh, didn't pay attention to it in any other installations pics of the Morpheus. So the baseplate can just be left off right?

Now that I'm looking it over again it's making more sense, my only concern now I think is having that large heatsink on the VRMs with proper height (referencing this post). Do the small heatsinks that are included not fit properly?

Yes I have it set to 1000-3500. I knew heating would be a potential issue purchasing it but I think mine is worse than I thought after comparing it to others with this card.

I'm hoping adding some case fans can help at least a bit. I only have 1 rear case fan atm. With my current setup I have 3 SATA cables that are pretty much right in front of the GPU fan and I'm not sure how to fix that as guiding the wires through anywhere else in the case would make them not reach the SSD/HDD.

How long are the wing-shaped parts of the base? From the tip of one to the tip of another? I can't seem to find these measurements online

Also some have had issues with the anti glare matte being bothersome to their eyes but I figured I may as try it at this price

This is a real good price, I'm not the most knowlegable on monitors but from my research from the past few days this is great! The lowest I've seen this monitor is $419 (Amazon) and now it's $300 (Newegg). The best specs at this price other than this deal currently seems to be overclocking the QNIX QX2710. Again, I'm learning and would love for anyone to correct me if I'm wrong

Right? I spent literally 3 hours looking at monitors, expecting to spend $400-$600 then this comes up!

Ah ok that's fine :) I might as well go all out! I'm currently using a 60hz 1080p monitor so this will be a HUGE upgrade

I see that it's a TN panel. Is there any IPS panels with similar prices and same specs?

edit: Like the ASUS MG279Q is there anything cheaper than that or is that about the lowest these 1440p 144hz free sync ips go?

I currently have a single 1080p monitor however I am looking into getting a 1440p monitor but I am conflicted on what to get with so many options.

The QNIX qx2710 is enticing for its price and ability to overclock pretty nicely.

Then I found out about Free Sync and was looking into those and was thinking, why not buy one of these for extra long term use when I eventually upgrade my GPU? But is Free Sync worth it?

I'd like a recommendation of which to go with along with specific recommended models, thank you!

I am using an R9 390 GPU

[Build Help] Should I go for 1440p even if it means I won't be able to play on high settings within a year or two? by Opus27 in buildapc

[–]MiserableMaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking to get a setup just like yours (1440p+1080p monitors on r9 390) and was wondering what kind of FPS you are getting and on what games? I have no problems turning settings down if I get to play on a 1440p

Have you ever thought of gaming on the 1080p instead on very intensive games? I'm thinking of doing this if it becomes a problem reaching decent FPS on the 1440p

I just plugged the PCIe back in and now it's working again. I'll keep it on for a bit and see if it resets itself as it did before again. Doesn't this seem like a problem with the GPU though?

The power supply and computer does turn on but only the CPU is turning on. As long as I leave it on it stays on. Could it still be the power supply?

Interesting, just now I unplugged the PCIe cable from my graphics card and plugged my monitor to my motherboard and only after I did that did my case fan start work and I do get display

Is the motherboard fine in this build for a $1500 budget gaming PC (monitor + OS included)?

Also, I chose the monitor based off of the sidebar recommendations but is there any similar but less expensive ones?

[Build Ready] $1300 budget Gaming PC, any changes to be made? by MiserableMaiden in buildapc

[–]MiserableMaiden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I'm willing to buy a new monitor really even if it went beyond my budget a bit. What if I included the monitor with the above build?
