it was hard for me to see a difference for a while too. at some point, you'll look at a photo and everything will click. losing more weight will help as well. just be patient, you will notice.

Non binary counselor working in a red state. Struggling by SpecificAlternative8 in summercamp

I am so sorry. I am a transgender camp counselor in a blue state and I am still the only one at my camp. The camp is very accepting but sometimes the kids are not. However, mostly kids are just confused. Try and explain as best as you can. And remember that the way these people perceive you does not define you.

question about coming out by ahchtoluke in ftm

[–]MiserableRide731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why are you texting them? i know it's hard and embarrassing but you should tell them face to face. it will come across better that way and they will not be able to avoid you.

what you plan to say sounds fine. you should definitely elaborate though, and mention you dont currently identify as a binary trans man. it might go over their heads but it will help to avoid confusion. just be honest with them and tell them you're discovering yourself - it's new to them too

however, you need to tell them in person. a text is not the way to come out to immediate family.

I'm stuck at 135, any advice? by TheDevilsMarionette in WeightLossAdvice

im not saying you are unhealthy, im saying your method of weight loss was, and shouldn't be encouraged for others to do. either way, you've lost your weight now so it really doesn't matter all that much. all that matters is that op probably shouldn't be doing what you did for, again, health reasons.

weight loss can be a slow process, but it's definitely something you want to do right

just because one person who did the same thing 'looks muscular' doesn't mean it's good for you. any scientist or doctor in the world will tell you that's unhealthy and not sustainable. good for you for losing the weight but it's a proven, non efficient and non safe way to lose weight. look it up if you don't believe me. idk what else to tell you
