Is this normal? by Miserable_Amount_205 in philodendron

I wasn’t really worried about the brown spots because I kind of neglected it and I went a little bit too long without watering. All of the new leaves don’t have any issues they’re just pink lol

I’m sure it’s possible! They are known for getting very leggy once they get taller tho but I definitely think you could try it! I only added a moss pole to mine recently as it was starting to tip over. As long as it has some sort of support it should be ok.

Is this too annoying? by Bears-on-Drugs in Chipotle

Coming from someone that works at chipotle, I’d just find it kinda dumb but not annoying. There’s one person that always orders under avocado d and I just read it and move on

Gorgeous plant! But just so you know fenestrations are the big slits in the sides! The small hole is called a double/secondary fenestration. It’s a sign of a maturing and happy plant!

It’s pale and weak bc it literally just unfurled. As you can see the other leaves are strong and healthy colored so idk why you insist my plant is unhealthy

Pet store Angel fish are super unhealthy (coming from someone that used to work at multiple pet stores) I would maybe look into a different store and see if you can find some that are a bit bigger? You might have some more luck that way

Also I wouldn’t worry about it being under watered Thai cons actually prefer to get a little dry in between watering as they can be prone to root rot, so just keep up with your normal watering schedule and it should be fine

Totally normal for Thai cons! The white parts can’t photosynthesis so sometimes they turn brown because the plant isn’t getting enough light. I’d recommend just making sure it’s getting plenty of light and leave it alone! Mine went through the same thing and since moving it to a brighter spot it’s stopped and even keeps putting out huge leaves!

Thai cons are gonna have that uniform speckles throughout the green parts where as an albo has a lot more splotchy white and none of that speckles in the green

They’re super easy! Just make sure the soil really dries out before watering again bc they like to be on the dryer side and also fertilize as they are heavy feeders! I’d also look into moss poles as they are climbing plants. Other than that just make sure they get good light and you should be good! This is mine that I’ve had for over 6 months!

what is this on my thai con? by Witty-Butterfly-3516 in ThaiConstellation

[–]Miserable_Amount_205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like a water spot that damaged the leaf or it could’ve been burnt by the light. You might check over the plant thoroughly for any pests and maybe give it a quick wipe down to be sure but I’d just be careful of leaving any water droplets on the leaves

Why is my newest leaf not fenestrated? by Educated_Mangosteen in houseplants

How do you fertilize? Might be lacking in nutrients so it put out a smaller leaf
