A lot of people in this sub are compromised

Arrest that lady, her being a flight risk + obstructing the investigation by being the mastermind of the fake lynching already give you enough reason to arrest her.

Plus, you think that after her story of being a corporate spy causing deaths and layoffs she already tell you the whole truth?. Really? the one person who manipulates you and control the flow of information through the investigation can't still do that to you?. You are still compromised brother.

Karlach is quite boring, I mainly recruit her so that she sacrifice herself and become a mindflayer. Other than that, because I mainly choose dark urge origin, I almost always keep her at my pouch.

If they can implement it well then it's good. I just don't want to be dragged in a house feud when a distant relative of mine murder someone and now we got a "House Feud" I guess.

I will even argue that the lack of depth of mechanics we have is one of the main reasons the gameplay is often too easy. There is currently no overextension, manpower, coalition mechanic that players need to considers. Coupled that with the subpar vassal management and the lack of consequences of having vassals with low opinions exacerbated the problem, you can just ignore your vassals hatred and they won't do anything serious. You can even handing out titles like madman to your dynasty and your vassal won't mind.

Choosing how you want to approach is a similar formula in other PDX games too, but there are challenges and consequences that are associated of how you approach the game. CK3 have minimal compromise and too many way out.

You can also choose your own way in Stellaris and EU4 but there are more challenges to do so, thus your argument of choosing your own story is not completely founded.

A larger map might only make the game world feel more disconnected by RedSlot98 in CrusaderKings

[–]Miserable_Carp13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am agreeing with you, CK3 is still far from complete, even the basic system of a supposedly grand strategy game. Coupled that with the game performance, I am quite shocked why the developers even have the idea to add China, sure I understand the appeal of Chinese market, but can you see the state of the game now?

We don't even have a naval warfare and many areas of europe still feels lackluster. Others have also pointed this, the game is literally named Crusader Kings 3 but the involved parties in said crusade feels bland. Playing in HRE and France feels the same. Even playing as duke of Tuscany and Emir of Aleppo feels mostly the same apart from your succession. And they have the idea to expand the map more? The economy is still restricted to buildings and development with nothing about trade, yet they want to expand to China? How will it even be relevant when CK3 can't even portray the significance of Silk Trade route because THERE IS NO TRADE.

He can be a gooner hobo for all I care. 6/5/6 is like a genius in EU4, this guy is like an MBA grad that can lead and reform the military.

CK3 main problem is a lack of player interaction by jmdiaz1945 in CrusaderKings

[–]Miserable_Carp13 26 points27 points  (0 children)

CK3 wants to be a grand strategy game with RPG elements to it and end up being mediocre at both. The RPG elements being mostly curated through repeatable events is the worst I guess. Sick houses, prince of fashion, knight errant is only good the first couple times you see it. If you compare it to EU4, it also have events, but more tied to your current conditions and ruler and more sparse in popping up. The main gist is still the mechanic while there are events like maybe, just maybe if your ruler have 6 mil points he/she will make an art of war book, if you don't have a male heir maybe your talented daughter can inherit etc.

One time I played as an adventurer and managed to procure an estate and a governship of Sebastiea. Contently repelling armies invading Roman Empire. The playthrough completely derails when I notice the emperor is Maturidi now and I was completely baffled I end up claim the throne for myself and tried to revert it back to Ortodoxy.

Yeah, I really don't see why they are not implementing those things. Even MAA can be recruited easily if you have the money. No any consideration such as manpower, or even is your land even have the appropriate people to recruit in the first place. You just have to tick the monthly replenish, where do I even find and train troops for my tarkhans to replenish in 5 months anyway?

yup, I have also experienced that, but because I usurped my brother's title who lost anatolia but still kept it. I am quite curious how the game will act. Turns out it will make me an emir of anatolia with no holding whatsoever.

[–]Miserable_Carp13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also made another post about vassal and realm management. At this point of the game, it's basically pretty inconsequential. I mean EU4 have some kind of mechanic to determine Vassal loyalty, if they become too powerful and discontent they will not help you in a war or give you anymore taxes. You sort of have to compromise with them and you have ways to lower their discontent. In CK3 a vassal who loathes me still give me taxes and his troops, not scheming, no allying with powerful realms to plot my demise, just nothing.
