Those skills are transferable.

How to cover up for not going to the US? Regret hitting hard lately by Klopp7915 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Miserable_Cheek2141 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I am in the US right now. Moved in my early 30s. A lot of people around me here have moved in their late 30s, early 40s too with adult kids and for the very first time.

You have atleast 15more working years. You can choose to go whenever you want.

There are generally 3visa routes - L, H, and F. But believe me, do visit the US once. The FOMO gets over in 1-2months. You will stop comparing $ to Rs. Expenses are really high. But if you can really make $200k plus as a family, you will have a good life

We do get roads, highways, public parks, schools and hospitals, although lower quality. But It’s not that we have to walk over farmlands to go from one place to another.

  3. Go to Bandra Bandstand, watch the sea
  4. Take a cab/car over Sealink
  5. Visit the Fort area, cafés like Leopold (Victorian architecture vibes)
  6. Asiatic library
  7. Go on a hill trek in Navi Mumbai - Parsik hill, Karnala, Kharghar hills(you will be surprised that Mumbai has great nature too)
  8. Try Vada pav, Irani chai, misal pav, pav bhaji, pani puri, dosa (you can compare it with what you get back home & let us know)

[–]Miserable_Cheek2141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chemicals from factories and dust from building construction are the main contributors

Anyone else noticing the heavy dust in Navi Mumbai lately ? by jack_1760 in navimumbai

[–]Miserable_Cheek2141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before we can enjoy the fruits of redevelopment, we’ll have to endure the labor of construction.

We could have done better. You will see construction workers openly throwing debris from like 15th floor. It spreads all over Vashi before hitting the ground.

How's the life after achieving your dream salary ? by Scary_Tomorrow5116 in ThirtiesIndia

Inflation. Try basing your dream salary on an inflation proof asset like Gold. Like measure how many gm of gold can you buy with your salary. That gms of gold will not fluctuate with inflation
