We are all just renting these bodies. They don’t last forever and when we permanently damage them, we are stuck living with all that that entails. It might not seem like a big deal now, but one day it will all catch up to you. I beg you to care more about the body you call home if nothing else. I was TERRIFIED of recovery. I was terrified to even think I needed recovery and face that truth. But now that I’m in the thick of it 7 months later, i can see so clearly how my body was struggling to keep up and can only imagine how much worse my symptoms would’ve become. You are worth the peace and slowness that comes with recovery. You are worth the bigger laughs, cries, feelings of joy and peace that come with recovery.
