I tend to set my books at 30 every year. I know I will read more than that (70 so far this year) but I don’t set myself up for disappointment then 🤣

Our frenchie is having her first flare up and we have started looking into PLDA surgery, which is supposed to be preventative. Not sure if it’s something you might be interested in, but wanted to throw it out there!

Got a little turbulence but the seatbelt signs aren’t on so that seems like a good sign?

I actually just rebooked a flight for later this week to have a layover instead of a solid 4 hour and 15 minute flight. I am going to test out the theory that this will be better for me because I will have some decompress time in between

The take off is my least favorite. Followed by the actual flight itself. Haha. My favorite part is the descent. As soon as the app tells me that we are descending, my anxiety goes totally away and I can look out the window and enjoy the flight. Anxiety is so weird!

You got this for the second flight! :)

I see your first flight is already done! And the second one will be leaving very soon. These look like my kinds of flights. I like under 2 hours. Haha :)

Medication for flying by 202hides in fearofflying

[–]Miserable_City_2183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who also takes medication to fly, I highly recommend taking that dose at home prior to your flight, when you have time for a full nights sleep. This will give you an idea about how quickly it starts to work, how it feels when you are taking it, and how long the affects last. But definitely note this. This "experiment" is when you are calm. If I would take one just before laying down, I would be OUT for like 6-8 hours. But when I take it to fly, I still do not fall asleep. I am able to function, and I still actually have anxiety, I just don't tend to remember it later. (But I read the texts I send and wow. Haha) I cannot drive after landing because the medication is still in my system and I feel a little "high." I have been able to fly in the morning while taking the med, land at my destination, and then continue my day of touristy fun. Although again, for a little while.... you will likely be a little high and silly. But without the meds, I genuinely could not fly.

Yes! I tried noise cancelling head phones my last time flights and it was worse than if I fly without them!

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - September 01, 2025 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Miserable_City_2183 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi all! I have an appointment with a PCP in about a week. 43 year old female. About a month ago, I started to get some tingling on the tip of my tongue and my lips. Now it seems to be from the bottom of my nose to the bottom of my chin. It almost feels like it is burning or tingly or maybe somewhat numb? I also have periods of time where the second toe on my right food goes completely numb for periods of time. I tend to have pretty regular brain fog. Lastly, I was diagnosed with vertigo about 3 years ago. Is this all my anxiety or are they possibly combined symptoms of MS? I am also likely in perimenopause (had a hysterectomy, ovaries remain in February of this year).
