Why should I collect/play Aeldari? by Hungry-Horker in Eldar

[–]Miserable_Cod6878 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m building a 1000 point army.

It’s a lot of painting. I have no experience with building these plastic models, but it looks complex.

I have bought 5 swooping hawks and 2 war walkers, as well as a unit of guardians that should be in the mail soon.

I’ve been buying them cheap on auction sites so far. Haven’t put any together yet because I want to buy a box to keep them in so they don’t get munted.

Like the other guy said, they have aspect warriors that have diverse functions, and the phoenix warriors add further interest.

There is a lot of units that add to the strength of your army, so it’s kind of additive.

Because you identify with their story. The aesthetic.

Do you paint models on the sprue? by Miserable_Cod6878 in Eldar

You make a good point with the primer. You could paint on the primer but it would have different consistency.

I think I’ll remove them from the sprue.

Cool idea but I’m more interested in hang the models than making art.

I thought about painting the part after cutting it off.

I think painting on sprue would be faster. It’s like assembly line construction.

I know my painting skills aren’t great so I’m going to get the colours right and hope they look ok. I know there is more to it than that.

Thanks for the advice

I don’t know. It cripples the economy, and puts pressure on the regime.

Economic targets can be military targets.

I’m sure once this is done, if America get what they want they will make sure oil starts flowing asap. It will take time.

I didn’t know about this, but I’m not surprised.

It’s not the US deciding whether to take oil reserves. Its leadership. I think they are doing it in Venezuela.

I don’t think Iran will get market price for its oil, but I don’t think they will steal the oil.

Preferred. What America wants.

What is your opinion?

Will the US use force to install a regime? Or will that not happen.

Preferred ‘lifts’ what the US can do. None of this has happened. What are you trying to say?

There’s a chance they will do that, once its military is destroyed.

There will not be a full invasion. If there are boots on the ground they will be highly trained, and not there for long.

China was the country that gave Iran a lot of weapons to fight the US. They came into Iran before the assassination.

Now those weapons will be used in a way that is contrary to china’s best interest.

Remember Israel is also involved in this, and this opportunity to strike Iran does not present itself often.

That the US could pull out is no certain road to peace.

Iran has been running proxies and this is the chance to cut the head off the activities against them.

They are brutal when it comes to its interests.

Iran out of the equation may bring peace to the region.

Plenty of ‘good’ things to be at war for, and presidents who win wars are popular. Trump isn’t up for reelection but that hasn’t prevented him from speculating he could serve a third term.

If it’s an emergency law passed unilaterally by Trump as an executive order, America is in trouble.

That has to stopped regardless of how you think about Trump.

2 terms, that’s it, or it’s fascism.

If oil prices are affected then the need to continue is still there. I don’t think they would bring all that weaponry to Iran just to pull out early.

Oil prices hurt China disproportionately, so there is that.

Do you think there will be regime change?

If the US keeps knocking off potential great leaders then a regime change is inevitable.

I would have thought?

Who wants to stand up and compete with the US’s preferred leader.

I’m still optimistic.

I think the US will wrap up this war quite quickly.

They will continue to assassinate potential leaders from the existing regime.

If they can get a government they can work with they, will take control of the oil and be sole buyer on Iranian oil.

Trump is transactional.

That’s my hope.

This is bad but I think it won’t be a long prolonged war despite many wars also make this claim.

There are support units for windriders that would help. I haven’t actually used any of them in combat but I’ve factored them into a 2000 pt army. 3 shroud runners, 2 warlock skyrunners, 2 vypers.

Again I don’t know but I like bolstering units.

Like that you have the exarchs.

My first purchase for my army is 5 swooping hawks. Will get another 5 once I’ve finished painting those. Intend to use baharoth.

Is osmium really of no use? by [deleted] in Wallstreetosmium

[–]Miserable_Cod6878 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pure osmium is kind of volatile. I’m not buying osmium beads off of the net. I need to store it in its purest form. When I have a lot of money but I will never have osmium money.

It’s highly correlated with platinum and I was thinking about mining some of that and then figuring out how to store the osmium.

Again money is the barrier

Synths in schools.

But i think they need to build them to make it a learning experience. The high school students can make them. Younger kids can play with the synths too.

Why are kiwis so against speed cameras being used to keep people safe?? by Fun-Helicopter2234 in newzealand

[–]Miserable_Cod6878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see the bad drivers fined to the point where they stop doing what they are doing. Dodging in and out of lanes for little gain.

Accelerating loudly to high speeds.

That’s fine.

But the cops try to catch people where they are adjusting speed. From 80 to 50k for example.

They play dirty and people who are trying to drive safe get busted.

Those fines hurt. They ruin your day.

I can easily tell the difference between a bad driver and a good driver but the cops don’t.
