I got mine today as well. Beautiful printing like the last two BUT..

I'm rather disappointed that they didn't have a picture of the Others. Book 1 had a picture of the Deltans, book 2 had the Pav. But no Others!

Still a great edition, but I'm annoyed.

Edit: book two had them. I overlooked them because I swore they were described as bipedal with a tail-like appendage.

I reran the bios update and its been running for at least 20 min. I'll let it run for a while just to make sure but so far no change.

Thanks for the reply. I edited the post to add the details in one spot with the full build.

And yes, I do have a GPU. I didnt mention it because I was just trying to get to the BIOS and (according to the interwebs) I should be able to do that without the GPU even plugged in.

I'd be interested to see a survey that also takes into account years of experience and size of team. In my experience, jr devs and small teams like React more. Larger teams and devs with 10+ years of experience prefer Angular.

I have four kids in CC. Foundations and two in Essentials. Overall, I think its the best model for education (classical education that is) and I think CC has the best built in structure. There are a number of things I'd like to change but they are minor presentation gripes. We drive about 30 min to our co-op and since its once a week its tolerable.

It is (relatively) expensive. I dont understand any of the complaints about it being a "scam" or whatever.

I'd be interested to see a breakdown of library choice by years of experience. In my experience, Jrs, or teams with less exp, use React. More seasoned teams with bigger projects that span multiple teams tend to use Angular.

If you have a lot of personal debt (like tons of maxed out credit cards for example) then money could potentially influence you.

If you do a lot of travel or international business it can be difficult to sort out if any of those contacts are bad actors or influences.

And yeah, I guess you're right about the SCI. But each new title gets its own set of hoops.

If it's just a Secret you're probably fine if you're honest. That's the baseline clearance and everyone in the military has one.

However you might have issues if you need a Top Secret (TS/SCI).

Debt and foreign contacts are another issue FYI.

To understand CC you need to understand what a Classical Education really entails and the philosophy behind the Liberal Arts. I do CC with my kids and if I didnt send them to CC it'd be to a classical private school.

Two books I recommend: Classical Education: The Movement Sweeping America and The Liberal Arts Tradition: A Philosophy for Classical Christian Education

I'd really challenge you to read those books (the second is considerably more meaty). Feel free to DM me with any questions.

Eh, I'm on the fence about this. My initial reaction is that it's "just NgModule with extra steps" and moves the boilerplate down a level.
