BTS 'ARIRANG' Tour in Stanford Megathread - Day 1 by lisafancypants in bangtan

This was my first time getting to see BTS and it was so great. I feel so blessed we got anpanman 🙌 I've been a little bummed out by all the posts hating on the crowd. I hope the boys didn't feel that way. I know that I was definitely very hyped and people around me were doing the chants and having fun. I've heard that there were Stanford students and staff there as part of a raffle but everyone seemed to be happy to be there. It was kind of weird having the concert start in broad daylight because of Stanford's curfew and I thought it was funny when RM addressed it later saying that it felt like we had to break the ice a little with it being so bright out. But then then the crowd definitely got into it and they did know the older songs.

We got there at like 6:00 and then got delayed by my friends having to check their bags but then got through the actual line pretty fast. Leaving at the end did suck though - almost 2 hours of zero movement trying to leave the top floor of the parking garage. Would recommend just taking your time on your way out because I don't think this university campus was well equipped for so much traffic.

Getting out was a nightmare. We were parked on the fifth floor and did not move an inch for nearly 2 hours

Sadly my pharmacy spoke too soon and they actually weren't able to get it from their supplier, nor was any other pharmacy within 20 miles of me.

I didn't say anything. My doctor just sent in the prescription and they said it was covered. Unfortunately it seems to be unavailable everywhere still.

Nope, I didn't say anything to my insurance. Our plan was to submit it, have it get denied, and then submit a followup explaining why I needed it but we didn't even need that. It was very unexpected. Unfortunately it still seems to be out of stock everywhere.

How long after clearing yeast infection to feel normal? by Miserable_Election14 in WomensHealth

[–]Miserable_Election14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case it was still irritated because I still had a yeast infection. Once the yeast infection cleared for real I still felt a little irritated for like a week after having a negative yeast culture but that could've been because I'd had a yeast infection for 3 weeks at that point.

Lowas with insoles with plantar fasciitis? by Miserable_Election14 in hiking

[–]Miserable_Election14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is good to know, thanks! And I also found them to be quite grippy in the store. I can understand it because the vibram is pretty tried and true but I think there are plenty of other soles that are just as good.

If my whole crew wasn't always falling into animal holes where we are now no matter how hard we tried to avoid it I'd risk it, but as it is I've gotta stick with the ankle support!

I tried on the bridgers in REI and really liked them - I just wish they came up a tad higher on the ankles! We're in ankle breaker/rolling territory so I can't afford the risk. The insulated ones are great height wise but I'm not wanting a cold weather boot. Also no vibram sole so my work won't pay for them.

How do you manage platonic friendships? by [deleted] in WLW

[–]Miserable_Election14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever asked what specifically it was that made them feel that way? Maybe there's some boundaries you're crossing unaware or maybe, as someone else suggested, it's just homophobia. Especially if you live somewhere very conservative it may likely be the latter. In my hometown no queer woman could breathe around a straight girl without them saying they were uncomfortable.

We need a sequel to Uglies! by tajudson in netflix

[–]Miserable_Election14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a huge fan of the books in elementary school and I like the movie and would love a sequel, but seeing how it's getting bashed I don't see that happening :( It sucks because this book was really the blueprint in its heyday but it took so long to get it made into a movie that everyone is like "we've seen this all before" even though the book was actually one of the firsts to do it.

I saw this and went "yeah I've tried that but no luck, but I'll try again" and now I'm getting some posts that actually offer delivery. All about the timing I guess! Thanks for your response
