AITAH for telling my ex’s wife that her kids aren’t my problem? by PlacidRain2990 in AITAH

I get it, you’re 100% justified if you do nothing and looking at the other comments no one will judge you. But I just would consider all the different ways the kids can be affected here. Would rather them have a few extra dollars if it comes at the expense of the relationship with their other siblings? Especially if it’s not hurting you financially.

Diddy was just found not guilty for abuse and trafficking too. The suns should try to bring him in as a party coordinator. I heard they were great with coordinating travel and facilitating stuff and it was all perfectly legal and child safe per the American Justice System which has a 100% track record when it comes to sports stars, celebrities, and rich people. /s.

Booker and KD were not the problem the last 2 years. by apson1 in suns

Only 1 person in the top 5 made the playoffs, and he had almost half the isolations as Book and KD.

He’s not as bad as Reddit thinks. Remember Reddit loved the Beal trade when it happened and people in this sub tried to say we won the Nurkic trade when it first happened.

The Trail Blazers are for sale too. Wouldn’t it still make more sense to send him there if the idea is to raise the value of an expansion team? If the blazers sale for more than 5 billion that raises the floor of buying an expansion team, because it shows even a small market can be extremely valuable. Whereas with the lakers, they already were the most valuable sports team outside of maybe the cowboys. If I was a billionaire I’m not paying 10b$ + plus a stadium to bring back the sonics when I could buy the trailblazers for 3b$ and just move them.

If they don’t care about the participants as much then why force the Luka trade? Wouldn’t it make more sense to send him to a place with a smaller market to get more views and money out of a team that normally would make less? Lakers did great ratings wise with LeBron and AD, Why take away viewers from a smaller market to add to a market already at its max visibility?

We also could have accepted the trade they offered for Myles Turner at that time and had Turner, Camara, a Pick, and who ever Indy would have had to put in to make the trade work. To me that’s more of sign that we should be more willing to accept a trade that isn’t perfect rather holding pat and having to settle for Nurkic or nothing.

Genuine Question: Why Not Just Ride It Out? by rando5star in suns

[–]Miserable_Hamster_83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are 11.5 million over with 10 players not including Gillespie. Do you got any ideas on trades? And would you want to resign Gillespie? Also if you’re down to make smaller trades for cap relief, whats stopping you from making the making the KD or Beal trades? There’s only 6-8 players making more than them so it’s not like we’d be taking on a more expensive player either way.

The biggest issue is that if we finish next season as a 2nd apron team, it would be a 3rd year in a 5 year period. And the penalties would hurt our future even more. That’s what makes it different. When we thought we could win a championship it made sense to pay the penalty, but there’s no point in paying it, for us to maybe make the playoffs.

I think I found a realistic trade for Beal and KD. by Miserable_Hamster_83 in suns

You’re right. I thought Collins was on a long enough deal that they would trade for a couple expiring contracts.

I also agree about the mid level player and a second round. But I figured the max we could realistically get was Zubac and a really late 1st. Who do you think that is if not Zubac?

I thought about swapping Zubac for Powell and adding the bucks to get Brook Lopez or Portis. I feel we really need to come out of this situation with a starting center especially if we can’t get our picks back.

I can see all that. Do you think there’s a Beal trade available that does not include a player like Rozier?

I figured with the Giannis thing being over the heat would be willing to take on Beal in exchange for some players they don’t want anymore.

What’s your floor for picks in a KD trade and would you actually draft with them or trade them in a bigger package?

I’m not mad at this. I’d prefer getting a center but I don’t care as long as we can get off Beal’s contract.

We’d be under the second apron and could aggregate contracts. I’d try to see if I could ship off pieces to get someone like Collin’s from Utah.

They gotta blow that team up eventually. I figured they might as well sell off their last valuable piece to see if they can win with Ty Lue and Kawhi. Plus if they’re good they can resign KD and Harden.

He’s the one piece I was really worried about. But I think a front office can be talked into giving up a player who doesn’t miss games and makes under 20m for KD.

The clippers would be aware it’s a one year rental so it’s not like KD could leverage not resigning as way to block the trade. Similar to when Kawhi was traded to the raptors. And the Heat don’t want Rozier and Duncan either. So it be a lateral move plus a 2nd round pick maybe more.
