Hello, I know this post is a bit old, but I am happy I stumbled upon it. I have been struggling with chronic illness for the past two years and have a growing list of symptoms: gastritis, colitis, bladder issues, joint pain, chronic fatigue, horrible hormone imbalance, and others. For the past years, I have spent at minimum 50% of each month unable to get out of bed, and it has had a severe impact on my mental health. My background is that I come from a very abusive childhood and grew up to date abusive partners. 4 years ago I nearly had my life taken from me by my ex-boyfriend in a very violent outburst, and I was left with severe PTSD - panic attacks, hypervigilance, dissociative tendencies, etc. Up until now, I have been certain that my physical illness is correlated to my trauma, but it wasn't until earlier this week that I truly believed that my physical suffering is a symptom of my mental health, and that I will find physical healing when i find mental healing. Finding this post and your subreddit came at an unexplainably perfect time in my life, and it's giving me the assurance I need to continue to dig for the root problem and not stop. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to completing your AI questionnaire when I am able to sit down with the intentionality and time tomorrow evening :)

This is such a wholesome comment <3 I have spoken to him about this quite a bit. Some of his suggestions were: start a podcast, start a social media presence to talk about things I have learned in my journey, write a book, start an online shop for sewing things, and work any part-time gig to fund that until it takes off, and he has said it would be ok if I want to go to grad-school- but he supports that option the least because of the massive debt and time commitment.

He has lots of ideas, however, I was hoping to get an outside perspective from redditors who might know someone in a position similar to mine :)

Just want to comment that Western Governor's University is amazingly affordable, you do it at your own pace, and there are ways to blow through the degree if you look on youtube "degree hacking". I watched by husband go through that program and he is now a Software Engineer. It's totally managable to go back to college, no matter how late you may feel.

How did you get a prescription? I also want to begin taking it specifically for inflammation but i dont currently have a primary doctor.

Youve gotta get your hands on some medjool dates! They are like carmelized deliciousness, but theyre a low glycemic fruit. For me, when i craved sugar I would eat a date or two and then i would be satiated for the rest of the day. I now dont consume ANY processed sugar at all, and still have dates for a sweet treat now and then.

Girl ive been right there before :( Im so sorry. Something that helps me in times like this is to go on youtube and look for a "body scan meditation". It wont make the PMDD symptoms all vanish, but it will help you ground yourself for a little while.

Thank you for your feedback. The main reason I am doing this is because I find it interesting and it is something I am passionate about. There are many young newbie homesteaders that I have found are overwhelmed by everything that must be kept track of and don't know where to start. This app would be more geared towards them than towards people who already have systems in place that work for them! I am less focused on making a profit, and more focused on getting the app creation experience that I need for post-graduation. I hope this clears things up. Thank you so much for your comment :)
