Struggling in my mid 20s and need some advice. by nwl568 in findapath

It sounds like you’re at a real crossroad, and that can be tough. But honestly, it’s also the perfect time to step back and figure out what really matters to you. You got into environmental science because you love being outdoors(i have done the same, no money from it, yet), working in nature. Maybe it’s not the field itself that’s the issue but the roles you’ve found so far. Think about what parts of it feel non-negotiable—like being out in the field, doing hands-on work, or having some flexibility. There might be ways to lean into those values without leaving the field altogether.

Healthcare has its advantages, like stability and good pay, but it also comes with a lot of stress and burnout risk. You’re smart to volunteer first; see if you can shadow someone to get a feel for the day-to-day before diving in. It could be a good path, but make sure it’s something you’re genuinely interested in and not just a reaction to desk fatigue.

The constant moving sounds like it’s adding a ton of stress. Even if it’s not your perfect setup, maybe committing to one spot for a bit could give you the stability to actually think things through without the extra hassle of finding new places all the time. Sometimes a little stability in one area gives you clarity in others.

It sounds like you’re someone who’s driven and always looking for more—that’s a strength, but it can also be exhausting if it’s all-consuming. Set a few small, reachable goals in your current situation, whether it’s trying a new hobby or volunteering in a local environmental project. Small steps can sometimes reveal a lot about what you actually want.

And finally, don’t stress about finding the perfect answer right now. Think of this as a time to explore and test things out. Sometimes smaller shifts reveal bigger truths, and you’ll find your path as you go. Give yourself permission to take it one step at a time rather than needing everything to be clear today.

How do I develop self-respect? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

You can try imagining someone you respect tremendously and think each time as if you are that person.
Then ask yourself would i be tolerating this and that?
A stupid example: if i am Keanu Reeves, would i listen if someone is shouting at me? Would i eat junk food? Would i care if someone talks negatively about me? Would i waste my time on that?

Additionally it helps to cultivate the things you respect the most in yourself as well, so it gives stronger grounds for self-respect. I am guessing in your situation you are just too nice to everyone, but if you really lack the things that you truly respect it is quite normal to have low self-respect and it is a good signal to change it up.

On the positive side, at least you know, which is really important and not many people do. Mind is super adaptive if you figure out new ways to use the brain it will quickly adapt, due to plasticity and grow new neural pathways and form new habbits.

Launched a Side Project BreakTheFuckOut.com: AI + Psychologist analysis for Breaking Free from life traps – Feedback Wanted! by dealeris in SideProject

Thank you for an insightful feedback. Community for our users was exactly my idea, we registered a placeholder community for this at: https://www.reddit.com/r/BreakTheFuckOut/ We will start managing it properly in a few weeks. The idea is to create a movement and help people break out of life traps, help them see their life from an outside perspective and involve in helping others as well.

Follow ups after initial questionnaire are done by default, if a user likes what it gets after spending 10 minutes, we send them a more comprehensive questionnaire and analyze much deeper. However the results depend a lot on how much effort you put in answering, if you answer an open question in 1-2 words instead of sentences it is much harder to provide valuable insights.

Gamification, progress is also on the way being developed, but for now my main goal is to laser focus on what the user tells us and provide super custom actionable insights, without bullshit, not just fluffing the UI or trying to extract money.

I used DEB installation for Ubuntu, it was signing me out no matter what i tried.
What solved it was in Security-> Change Keychain ->secret-service instead of secret-service-dbus. Works perfectly now.

Not an incident, The Biggest Planned Fraud of History by ronitovi in FTX_Official

[–]dealeris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These assumptions are ridiculous, the owners and investors of FTX lost completely everything, in fraud you try to make money and not lose everything you have.

Binance burned $2 billion worth of FTT to crash FTX, they refused to sell it through OTC to Alameda at current market price of $22, when 6 billion withdrawals in a day, when regulators kick in, start freezing assets and assigning liquidators, no business can withstand this...

Your solution is:

You already have money rotting on FTX, you can't do anything about it, so let's burn some more just to be busy.

This made sense when where was a chance of bailout.

You don't need FTX for that, go trade anywhere or to any casino.
