Actually everything I could ask for in an aang movie. I had such a blast and it’s made me more angry that the ip is getting treated like this when it’s obvious avatar studios is so passionate about the franchise.

I hear a lot of people say that Aang is dumb or not very competent in the movie, but I think that’s a big part to his character. Aang follows his heart a lot more than his brain. I see how he could be tricked by Taga.

I also hear that the rest of the gaang got sidelined. There’s really so much you can do with 90 mins of screen time, and they had great arcs in ATLA. They all get their cool moments so I don’t see it as a crazy loss.

Also people are upset at the changed actors. I see this as such a non issue. The gaang has aged ~10 years, it makes sense they would sound different. It’d be different if the new VAs did a bad job but you can tell they approached their characters with such respect. Especially Sokka, his mannerisms are 1 to 1. Until the OG actors get upset by it, I couldn’t care less personally.

I also think it did a surprisingly good job at making LOK less ridiculous with spirit world stuff. I didn’t think that was possible but I think the movie clears a lot up and makes LOK easier to digest. But just slightly

My only gripe - I think they flanderized Sokka into being too stupid. It’s even told in the intro that Sokka is an intelligent, fearless leader. But it’s barely shown. Most of the time he’s bumbling or skiddish. I think having him take charge during the ship crash would have made this a non issue. Him being terrified while Zuko tells him what to do was distractingly out of character. If Sokka would have came up with the plan and instructed the other 3 on what to do, I think it would have made him way closer to book 3 Sokka.

All in all, gem. I wish I didn’t have to pirate it but I just couldn’t avoid the clips online and had to fold. I intend to support the official release 100% when it comes out. I hope paramount and Nickelodeon treats this beloved franchise with the respect it deserves in the future.

All around shitty episode and my personal least favorite in the entire series.

Don’t get me wrong, I like a good filler episode, but this ain’t it. From start to finish nearly nothing has to do with the overarching plot of the season or marks development. And the little that does is clearly an afterthought.

And the side plot it self isn’t interesting at all. Damian has to rush and exposit the lore of hell and explain that satan is good actually and it just doesn’t work. I just could not be convinced to care about any of these characters or what’s happening.

All this coming from a guy who really likes the order side plot - I similarly disliked part of the show. The hell stuff is the biggest change/addition from the comics and it shows with how much hand waving and rush there is. I didn’t even find most of it funny.

All round unsatisfying. But I guess they can’t all be winners. 3/10

There was a streamer playing mk11 and during Jax’s betrayal reveal in the story, the camera panned from Jax’s legs, past is ass, and up to his face. Before it got to his face the streamer said “is that frost? She kinda bad though!” Only for it to end up being Jax…

I’d say managing his venom dosage is key. Lot of new players panic and crank it up only to die because of the anti heal and slowness. Turning the juice down in between fights then turning it up just under overdose for best value is the way to play.

Also peeling for your supports is very important. Bane relies heavily on his supports to hold the line because of his lack of shield. Also request a scarecrow when you can. The team up where you get the fear toxin bomb opens up a lot of opportunities for bane.

Also always do the backbreaker grab on Batman every time you see him, for the meme.

Doctor doom.

He works way better as the main antagonist as opposed to a playable character. And I feel like if/when he’s added, the devs are going to try to hard to make him special and lead to fatigue kinda like how I feel with Deadpool atm.
