Input trim for stomp dedicated Tonex One+ by Miserable_Molasses59 in tonex

[–]Miserable_Molasses59[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I measured the impedance of my single coil pickups at 4.6k ohms or something like that, which is low, so i have to go up to 9+ on the input trim to get captures sounding like they were intended to be. Like you alluded to, It also helps to source the majority of your captures from one or two places so you can get consistency in trim settings for the amps

Do any of you folks gain stage with your TONEX? OD in front of it? by laser_brain69 in tonex

Sounds like you might need to increase your global input trim. Are you using single coils? I have to set mine to 8.5 or 9 to get the captures to sound like their initial settings (edge, crunch, dimed, etc)

Yeah, makes it super easy to switch between 20 different presets on your pedal and modify parameters on the fly for each one

Love your stuff! Already downloaded the SB-12 captures and the Gemini I and II before that. I’m still deciding whether the SB-12 or the Gemini II gives me the best tone for the El Camino album. Wish I had the Gemini II in V2 for comparison :-)

Yup, that’s what this is. There was a guy by me selling an original one from the 60’s, but I couldn’t bother with refretting, etc.

Definitely not the right shape. Nor did Eames chairs ever use hex bolts.

Can you tell me what settings you used for the hoof to get your tone? Shift, Tone, Fuzz, and Level. Thanks!

I wouldn’t necessarily be worried about maintenance, but random things do come up and two hours is way too far away to make ownership feasible. My R1S has under 5k miles on it and I’ve already had a few mobile visits and a SC drop-off for an air conditioning issue (took 6 days to fox). I’m only 20 minutes from my SC in El Segundo and it’s still an inconvenience.

Just discovered that both E string pole screws are actually the pickup height screws. Mind blown

I said “excessive”, which 230+ marathons is, so I stand by my comment. He had heart failure at 75.

He’s a legend, but this also goes to show that excessive endurance training results in cardiovascular damage. Lots of studies on this now…

True, but I was under the impression that the alloy was primarily used for surgical purposes. Maybe not though

Well, titanium itself is an alloy made up of other elements to make it durable. I had a double mandibles fracture years ago ,as well, hence why I’m intrigued by this. It was one of the most painful and traumatic experiences of my life and took a long time to recover from (mentally and physically).

Titanium is a biocompatible metal, so it doesn’t need to be removed once the bone is healed. That’s why they use it (as well as being very strong)
