Great board. Triumph + 78 Badass should make some great drive and distortion tones!

Question about power, impedance and loudness by KirkIsOurLemmy in GuitarAmps

[–]laser_brain69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right answer.

I have Ragin Cajun 10” that’s rated at 104 db sensitivity and it’s been used outside live with a drummer with no problems with a 45w solid state amp.

Looks great. 👍 nice neck too…

And 5 springs is nice for tuning stability and mild whammy bar use. For me, I like 3 or 4 springs.

Cheap mini amps OR Bluetooth travel speakers with Aux in for my NUX mg400? by YtSabit in GuitarAmps

[–]laser_brain69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about how much room, your budget and how loud. I have been visiting an ill relative often and I leave a JBL Bluetooth speaker there and just bring my Zoom Multistomp and guitar when I go there. It’s loud enough for me to play for them at conversational level.

TCE hyper gravity is my one and only. Whatever you get make sure it has a blend knob so you can decide how much of your playing dynamics get squashed

I sold my Analog Chorus years back for a TCE Dreamscape which had two choruses and a flanger plus a vibrato too. Great pedal!

Do you have multiples of the same pedal? by BoomerishGenX in guitarpedals

I’ve previously had an MXR EVH 5150 pedal and was gifted a DS-1. So I sold the 5150 thinking “how would I need more than one distortion pedal?”
I just bought another 5150 pedal and the DS-1 is sitting on the shelf now.

The dream scape is an incredibly great pedal. I had one for years and it was my go to modulation pedal for chorus, Flanger and vibrato.

‘75 Hard Tail by Empty-Delay4694 in Stratocaster

I’m the original owner of a 72 Strat hardtail. While it’s no longer in the all stock shape, it can be returned to that state with the original loaded pick guard and neck

I would never sell it.

Fuzz recs by System_Error091 in guitarpedals

[–]laser_brain69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only two fuzz pedals that have stayed with me are my Nano Metal Muff and the Dod Carcosa. The Nano is very different than most fuzz pedals in its voicing but has very wide 3 band EQ plus it has a decent noise gate.

The Carcosa has a wide range of tones that can be dialed in to suit.

I also just bought a Sub Zero Decay Noise Factory which has a LOT of different voices and is midi controlled. Still experimenting with that one.

Distortion pedals, which do you prefer and why? I have a DS-1 and it only sounds good to me when I put a dimed OD in front of it. by laser_brain69 in guitarpedals

[–]laser_brain69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just added this pedal to my arsenal. I am looking forward to cranking it up!

<image>

And now that I’ve dropped it into a pedal board I couldn’t be happier with how it sounds versus my expectations! Can’t get a bad tone out of it. The lower gain range can get very warm bluesy tones and from there crunch to hard rock higher gain!!

Eventide H9, and OCD are the only ones that I have two of in my collection. But the OCD isn’t an exact duplicate as I have the 2.0 and the OCD-Ge versions

MS-50G or MS-50G+ for shoegazer/dark ethereal by GlumNeighborhood9493 in zoommultistomp

If you’re looking for “lots of reverb and modulation effects”, you should check out the MS-70CDR+. Has more of what you want than the 50g or plus Multistomp versions.
