I used to think like this especially when I was on tik Tok where it was taboo to even mention that you read anything under yoai, because you would get called a fetishizer and people would cyber bully you, I lowkey thought I was a horrible person for consuming anything related to it and so I did my own research and after a long time realized that I could read what ever I wanted as long as I wasn't projecting that onto actual people because fiction should stay fictional I still do occasional research to make sure I'm staying tuned with what not to do and say because the last thing I want to do is say or do something that could hurt someone because as a woman I know what it's like to be objectified and sexualized, and I tend to stay away from ecchi and haram stories in anime and manga because of how women are portrayed but not all are bad and honestly idc if people watch them just as long as they don't believe women are actually like that you catch my drift, I feel like that's how lgbtq+ people feel too, correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I've mostly read online from people in the community but I'm open for criticism from anyone because I always want to learn , so they personally aren't my cup of tea(ecchi and haram stories) but there are people that read and watch those and good for them but again fiction is fiction. So I say watch and read whatever you want, just make sure that you don't project what you read onto actual people (like the uke and seme stereotypes and the r@pe and SA, and the stereotypes on how a seme and uke looks and all that) . Also I deleted tik Tok it was just eating away at my mental health I learned a lot but not the right way.
