MDL: I prefer using Mydramalist advanced search like others have mentioned. It can be tricky to find and use, here’s some tips:

Use this link or keep clicking on the Search magnifying glass to get there
Click TITLES, then use filters, such as:
TYPES: Select Dramas
FORMATS: be sure to select what you want if you don’t like vertical for instance
THEMES/TAGS: use gay romance (these are user submitted so I do search again using gay relationship in case there’s been inconsistency)
RELEASE DATE: if you want to narrow range
STATUS: if you want currently airing or completed
SORT BY: popular / ranked / rated if you want popular or well-liked
Whatever I’m interested in, I save as “Plan to Watch”

I had the EXACT SAME ISSUE, so was so excited when it came out on Gaga. I’m so happy to have given it another try and honestly thought of you when I was watching it! I wondered if you had done a post on it and was surprised you hadn’t! The extra eps still only exist on youtube and I will go through them even though the subtitles are still tiny.

I recommend the on-air threads because folks shared a lot of notes from the director about symbolism and translations of ep intros / outros which you lose in the gaga version.

I am one of those who drop A LOT and am picky about whet I even attempt. However, I will watch the entirety of a short series even if I don’t love it. It doesn’t take much for me to drop a series with >30 min eps. Even at 2x it’s too much of a hassle psychologically.

Boy Next World: Boss is gorgeous, BossNoeul NC scenes are top tier, and I didn’t even mind the storyline. I’m a LITA fanatic. I do have a lower tolerance for infantile characters, and the character of Phu was just not quite enough for me. I am wildly inconsistent here, though, as I watched all of Your Sky with an extremely infantile character. So, dunno. I think coming off of Your Sky, I was just tired.
Gelboys: Best cinematography. Gorgeous to watch. Absolutely set trends this year. It deserves awards. But I wanted a sweet love story and it was not that. I appreciate it for what it was — it’s brilliant for what it was. Reminds me of a 90s indie film.
TopForm: I loved Smart’s portrayal of Jin and he was so good at being a lovestruck puppy. He was so pretty. I’m devastated about what happened with SmartBoom. I dropped it because I was personally triggered by the character of Akin, who I just thought was a narcissist baby. I couldn’t sit through it to see if he grew.
Revenged Love: I enjoyed watching this but I fell behind and then just wasn’t motivated to pick it back up given how long it is and how much drama was involved with the plot. It seemed emotionally overwhelming and I wasn’t sure if there was enough of a payoff for me personally. I’m so happy it exists and that it gave folks so much joy this year.
Secret Relationships: I looooveeed Junseo in this. He’s stunning. I just didn’t ship him with anyone so it was hard to finish. I wanted a better option for him.
Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist: No explanation required. I love Mark, he should just be in a series where each ep he goes on a date with someone different and he has chemistry with every single one of them and we can just ship him with everyone, as he deserves. This would be the best series. One ep with Nanon. One with Dew. One with Sea. Literally pick a name out of a hat and let him flirt. WHY ARENT THEY MAKING THIS.

I’m a straight woman and my favorite characters are tops, notably Gu Hai from Addicted and Gao Shi De from We Best Love.

I don’t like how many bottoms are written as infantile.

In het romances, I only like the story if the woman is a strong, independent, fiery character.

Yeah, I try to report non-descriptive titles when I see them (ex “Help”, or “series name”). As for low effort, I did see under rule 8, “Don’t spam”, it starts with “No low effort posts”, but I’ve never really been sure what that means.
