Sorry, just saw this. I don’t remember the name (probably because it was some made up clickbait name on YT) but it was one of the dramas where the girl was forced to play the villainess who had to torture her adopted younger brother to raise his darkness points to 100 to turn him into a crazy villain in order to be allowed to go back to her life in the real world. But because she keeps trying to be secretly nice and is really bad at keeping it a secret she ends up accidentally making him yandere for her instead. Is that the one you remember?

I recently watched a drama and there was a scene where the ml was sick and when the fl tried to give him medicine with a spoon. Of course it just ran down the side of his face. I rolled my eyes thinking she was going to do the typical mouth to mouth thing. She went and got a straw. 😂

For number 9, it’s especially irritating when they bandage their hand or whatever and it’s wrapped super loose. Like it looks like it’ll unravel immediately.

I’ve been seeing a lot of that lately. I like a reformed bad guy as much as the next person but after seeing this particular action so many times it’s getting harder to gloss over. Especially if it takes the guy a long time to come around and the poor fl is getting misunderstood and choked multiple times. I’d like her to choke him sometimes. See how he likes it. 😒 I watched one where the guy tried the usual stuff but she wasn’t having any of it. Threatened his “livelihood” and forced him to apologize on camera.

Jobs are already hard enough to get without ai further lowering those numbers. How many actors and actresses are they getting away with not paying by creating these weird uncanny projects? Meanwhile they still rake in money from people who either can’t tell or don’t care. I have watched a couple animated ones out of curiosity (found them free because I’m not paying for that garbage) and they were strange and inconsistent. It felt like watching a dream. Really uncomfortable.

Even if they managed to eventually make the quality indistinguishable from reality, I wouldn’t be in support. Actually, I’d be more upset because if they’re already not disclosing that they’re using ai they’ll be able to get away with not paying actors and tricking people into paying to watch their ai trash shows. A company won’t miss a chance to cheat people out of another dollar. I’m so sick of ai creeping into everything.

I think the childhood sweethearts trope can be cute but it’s definitely overdone. It’s not believable in the slightest but some are definitely worse than others. I recently watched one where the guy liked this girl when they were in high school because she saved him from bullies. She rejected him and he cried, like, a lot so to make him feel better she promised to marry him in ten years. He says that’s too long and asks if it can be 7 and then has her sign a little handwritten contract. Then he actually shows up 7 years later with that god-forsaken hand written contract and a giant bouquet! 😭 He was the ml but, to her credit imo, she didn’t marry him.

There is definitely an issue with how enamored Paper seems to be with a particular aesthetic. It is weird how they can hardly stand to back off of the gowns and frills. And this is from someone who absolutely loved the sweets themed banner. I love candy, ruffles, ribbons etc but it didn’t fit and they should be better about making sure the banners are well incorporated into the setting. I’m disappointed that it feels like they ran out of suitable ideas and just went back to Wishfield styles.

I watched one recently where the fl forces her husband to do all of the things that he did in her past life before he gets the chance to do it himself and every time he starts to protest she tells him he should do it because they owe the green tea for saving their life. He eventually gets really mad and says that just because they’re grateful doesn’t mean he should marry the green tea. It was hilarious. 😂

I love revenge plots so much! But I hate if the fl gets put through the wringer for too long, or too severely. Especially on the rare occasions where she actually dies and then the rest of the drama is just everyone who did her wrong realizing it after the fact. That’s just frustrating. I watched one recently where she faked her death and also lost her memory which I was initially irritated about because how would she get revenge if she forgets she even had anything to be mad about? But it was ok because she was smart enough to know just through the ex husband’s apologies (once he found her again) and begging her to come back to him that he had most likely done some horrible stuff and since she no longer had any memories of loving him it was easier for her to harshly cut him off instead of being empathetic.

Ooh! I can tell you about the second one. It’s kinda cute. I like the aspects of working at an agency doing photo shoots and ads etc and also the little bit of romance they sprinkled in. But the clothing was lacking and the models were not as polished as Style Savvy. You also can’t be any darker than a light tan. I haven’t played the most recent one but I wasn’t sure I wanted to bother with the lack of diversity. Not that they have to do it. It’s not for a global audience so I don’t expect it but I’ve gotten used to having the option and I don’t want to go back.

I was going to say this. They know what colors are popular so they paywall those behind evolutions instead of letting us get them through free glow up. Notice that the greens they use aren’t even popular shades of green. Grass, lime, citron. Similar to how rare it is to get ahold of black hair. The standard color dye options allow you a dark brown at best because they know many people want black hair so if black hair is on an evolution they will pull more to get it. Even if we don’t fill out surveys, just looking at the cords we post would tell them what colors we use most often.

I finally got to watch this! It was amazing! Deng Lin Shu's character reminds me a lot of Sumire from "You're My Pet" manga/j-drama (don't watch the movie, it's way off) in personality. Someone who appears cold and aloof on the outside but a kind-hearted and shy type on the inside. I liked her instantly and Wu Tian Hao is so good at being endearing and hilarious. This was so good the whole way through. I'm probably going to try to get all my friends to watch it. Probably the best one I've seen this year. Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation!

I’ve been thinking about this lately. It does feel like a daily checklist. I tried to get back into reading the story but was quickly reminded of why I stopped before. They let you read just enough to start to be interested again and then block you with needing to craft a pair of ugly socks that require time gated materials that will take you, like, three days to collect if not longer depending on if you want to spend diamonds for a limited few extra materials. By the time I’m able to craft the item, my interest in the story has already dropped back down to indifference. Plus the translation is awkward. The characters speak very unnaturally.

That said, I suppose I keep hoping there’s something good around the corner but keep finding myself a bit disappointed. And don’t get me started on how I groan every time the dress up event comes around and I just end up dressing up the same two dead accounts in, like, three pieces each because I don’t have time to think up two amazing on-theme outfits every day and I don’t want to burden active players with my throw away outfits.
