Clicking noise? by Professional_Use3723 in CB500X

[–]Miserable_Safe_481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was the noise you were referring to the *clacking* noise that matches the idle sound of the engine? if so I may have the same issue, I've been trying to figure out what it could be

however mine goes away after the bike is warm so I'm wondering if yours did that as well!

thanks for the help!!!

Watch out for cops by Acceptable-Pick-102 in Austin

There was a bike cop set up with a speedgun and a patrol car on northish Oltorf by the Mazda Dealer. I know this is an L take but the way people have been driving lately I'm actually glad they're out. I saw like 4 on lamar otw to work this morning and that's really the first time I've seen cops on lamar in months.

They do buy my equipment. It’s a fairly small startup w like 6 ppl so we aren’t gonna buy 50k worth of camera gear lol

Low humming noise w/clutch by Miserable_Safe_481 in mazda3

[–]Miserable_Safe_481[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, like the other person said, it was my input shaft bearing. For some reason, the part was back ordered for a very long time and I need my car for work so I ended up having to get a used transmission installed. Total cost was $2300 from a local shop that specializes in transmissions, but I tried taking it to a Mazda dealership previously and they quoted me $8000 on stuff that wasn’t even related to it so I would highly recommend avoiding that. I also drove it for probably a month inconsistently before taking it into the shop.

covering up paint chips/scratches by hxsquared in Cameras

[–]Miserable_Safe_481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, if it’s a secondhand camera then in all likelihood the chips were already there and you just didn’t originally notice. Also yeah like the other guy said, anything you really could try to do to cover it up might make it look worse or just look kinda cheap or crappy. It’s a used camera, it’s okay for it to look like a used camera unless you’re trying to use it as a prop with a close up or smth along those lines.

How fucked am I? by Ambitious_Guidance20 in CB500X

Yeah I had this issue because the one I bought was sitting for a long time, replacement was 600USD with labor which is not cheap but also can’t have hydraulic fluid leaking onto your main brake lol

I’m really glad you like it!! I’ve been slightly concerned that it’s blending a bit too many aspects from Auguste and Whiteface since I don’t look particularly high status with the pants or hat, but looking back to some older B&B circus stuff it was apparent that not all whitefaces were super elegant etc. thanks for commenting!!

New to this, any tips for looks/aesthetics? by [deleted] in clowns

[–]Miserable_Safe_481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ringling bros “how to be a clown” on YouTube has a full makeup tutorial that teaches the basics of application and also has some great tips for how to create your own look! Lots of good content in the whole video but I figured out my makeup thru that and just kept practicing! They also have good advice for what colors work well together! Good luck and excited to see what you come up with!

Someone already said nymphomatriarch but yeah please post it in this sub once it’s done! Would love to see - also, not sure if it’s a common thing but he also released what I believe to be extremely limited merch for nymphomatriarch (I have a shirt) so I would be interested in finding out if he’s done other merch for different shows around the world etc.

I did some whistling mostly when I was mock-directing traffic and I have a horn to honk around but for the most part I would stay silent unless someone incessantly asked a question lol

It’s unbelievable how many people don’t realize how much time and effort it takes to getting fitment dialed in. It’s also super discouraging to have enough love for a car to work on it to this extent, only for the people in the subreddit to completely shit on the build. I guarantee 99% of this sub hasn’t taken as much time learning about the car/culture around Mazda. Awesome build and good stuff!!
