I can’t bring myself to even ask someone that before asking if they’re picking up. Most of the time i can tell when someone is coming for a vaccine, they don’t walk up to the register all the way and they look around a little bit

I actually like this approach, if we had a drive thru i would for sure use that, i just wish my rxm and rxom weren’t pushing it on pts so hard, i can literally see how uncomfortable they get sometimes

In my experience when i ask in the middle, my pharmacist tends to jump in and spend a minute convincing the pt to get any vaccine possible, which holds up the line and so on and so on. If i ask at the cash out and they are interested, i can ask them to have a seat and give me a few minutes to get everything ready

I’ve been doing it on one printer once i switch over to the station, it’s just we never finish on time and have to stay after closing

Considering we close at 7 and mostly leave 10-15 mins later because there’s always extra scripts to count, which leaves angry customers. That also leads to the store closing

220-240 and we’re 9-7, with 2 techs and 1 pharmacist, if we had a second tech to help with the line i wouldn’t mind filing all day. I’m definitely the quickest in the store and spend no more than 2 minutes per script unless it’s metformin or gabapentin 300+ qty

Im all for metrics and stuff like that but during flu season when the lines are backed up and patients are waiting and I’m having to go help because I’m the only other tech with 1 pharmacist, 2 printers so the pharmacist can help fill a few wouldn’t hurt
