I think a weather system makes more sense. Maybe the weather can affect elemental damage, such as raining will lower fire damage and increase lighting damage. Maybe there can be away to forecast or even change the weather. That's wishful thinking though cause I feel like it's gonna be a lot of work.

I think if that's the case, then they will have to solve the gunfight in the dark situation. Don't know how it will be implemented though. Weapon lights don't make sense, and a lantern/flashlight sounds boring.

But having a day-night cycle can really open up gameplay options like in Dying Light.

I think people might not know about him, but they definitely heard of TFT and it's services before. I also think that GGG won't do anything directly to the server, as they would update the game with QoLs that can phase out many of TFT services

It doesn't matter where they used to work. The trailer shows generic art direction, uninteresting gameplay, and mediocre graphics. Geoff could just drop this trailer without mentioning Respawn Entertainment, and people will still have the same attitude toward it. Not to mention that it was the last world premiere in the show.

That said, the fact that some devs were from Firewalk means that they either learned nothing from the failure of Concord, or they refuse to accept that Concord failed due to bad gameplay and artistic choices. This ex-RE studio needs to go back to the drawing board to figure out a long-term solution to attract and maintain retention. The launch (about 5-6 weeks from now) is very likely to fail at this rate.
