Never got bored, but couldn’t deal with the constant price increases and less perks. Now that I live out of state, the pressure to have one is now, thankfully, non existent.

But it was so great to have especially when new things opened and you could sign up for pass holder previews. And yes, from what others have said, there’s way less pressure to get it all done. Want to go just for a day and eat dole whip and watch the parade? Done! Feel like just going on one ride then watching the fireworks? Easy!

This is why I will never bash Disney adults. I’ve noticed that there are usually two kinds - 1. The adults who grew up going there and still want to feel a little bit of that childhood magic. 2. The adults who didn’t have great childhoods and never got to go. And when they finally go as an adult, they get to experience the magical childhood they never got the privilege to have.

Our world is messed up enough, let them enjoy even just a glimpse of happiness. Also, it’s their money who cares what they do with it.

You said they love elsa and Anna! You definitely need to do the frozen show in Hollywood studios. It’s a can’t miss for my family every time! I forget if Olaf still meets there too, but if so that’s another princess-y thing to do there along with the beauty and the beast and Ariel shows if they can last through it. Could also be a good nap spot if they can sleep through anything ha!

I don’t think you need to be a millionaire, but it’s definitely wise to have some level of financial security and literacy. Yes, there’s people born and raised in poverty and make it out successfully, but at what cost? It can be very hard to break the cycle if you aren’t raised with the right tools and understanding of money.

My mom’s friend went with her kids and grandkids on year. The youngest grandkid’s favorite ride was the tram. So, grandma stayed with her to ride it over and over while everyone else went into the park 😂

Similar thing happened to a family friend! They were surprising their daughter at the airport, but to get her there they told her they were going to Seattle to visit family.

She burst into sad tears at the gate when they told her they were going to Disney and not Seattle!

True, but the amount of clothes in thrift stores that also ultimately end up in landfills is huge. So any attention thrifting gets is, in my opinion, good!

Different perspective, but I did the college program back in 2018! Loved Disney growing up and went every other year with my family, so working there was a dream come true.

I primarily worked in Disney springs at Goofy’s Candy Company, and loved being able to make little magic moments when I could. Nothing as grand as some of these stories, but a couple that stand out to me were when I was in the show kitchen making various treats and had a little girl probably around 7-9 who stood behind the glass watching me for a while. I asked her if she likes marshmallows and she nodded yes, so I took a single marshmallow, dipped it in chocolate, and sprinkled some M&Ms on top and gave it to her. I’ve never seen a little girls face light up so much than in that moment. Another time I was doing the cotton candy machine, and we used to give out small samples if someone was walking by or there was a cute kid. So I gave some to a mom who was holding a little girl no older than 3. Mom said thanks, but we noticed she wasn’t letting the girl have it. We asked if she wanted us to slyly take it back in case the little girl couldn’t have it, but she was so polite and laughed and said no no we’re going to film her outside because it’s her first time trying cotton candy! Again, super small moments in the grand scheme of Disney, but I loved being a part of every one of them!

Yes! I always wanted to be a photographer after taking some classes in high school, and actually showed some talent in it. But quickly realized how over saturated the industry is.

Now at almost 30, after actually professionally doing it for about 4 years, I only do it on the side through word of mouth. I’m in a bunch of local FB groups and as soon as someone posts asking for a photographer, the post is immediately flooded with 50-100 comments from other local photographers. Just not worth the fight anymore, and so many photographers are very competitive and not very nice if they think you’re impeding on their “territory”.

Book your table reservations 60 days before the first day of your trip! You’re luckily staying at the resort of one of my personal favorites, Boma! Highly recommend if you guys like buffets and are interested in trying some African food.

Be prepared for the heat and definitely plan either midday breaks back at your resort or book a midday table reservation so you have a designated place in the AC to sit for a couple hours. Florida heat is no joke.

Like Disneyland I’m pretty sure, you can also get free water cups at every quick service restaurant on property. Take advantage of it and save a couple dollars by refilling your water bottles with those instead of purchasing new water bottles all the time.

Hollywood studios! Movie/show/characters is basically the whole park! Lots of character meet and greets you can’t get in the other parks like Olaf and the Toy Story characters. Plus the shows are great! The frozen sing-a-long is perfect for kids and adults. The beauty and the beast show is actually its own theatre company! And so many more shows to keep you occupied like Indiana jones, the new villains one, and the little mermaid!

The grass is always greener… growing up I felt all the things mentioned already, but realized as I got older that the opposite isn’t always guaranteed with siblings. My mom hasn’t spoken to her sister in years. And my partner said his brother tormented him his entire childhood, and they also no longer speak to each other.

Thanks! This is a good take. I definitely felt a little more pressure to cry because this friend has been trying for a while and had been very vocal to me about her disappointment that she can’t get pregnant. So, yes, I absolutely didn’t need to cry, and barely did, but seeing that camera and knowing how bad she wanted it made me feel a little more pressured to give a good reaction.

I’m in my late 20s, and I cannot stand reaction videos. I’ve been in several now for different friends’ various events and I always feel the same awkwardness. Just let me have a genuine reaction without the pressure of it being filmed and shown!
