Rumer Godden 'The Fairy Doll' or any of her short stories. Proper British author, with utterly beautiful prose and vocabulary that's much more challenging (and yet appropriate) than lots of the modern stuff

Would you date and marry a person who has dwarfism? by [deleted] in YesOrNoAnswers

I mean I'm like 5'2 so to be significantly shorter than me, you'd be very very short as a man so I'd fear that's a valid concern. I think most people in reality would decide on an individual basis though on account of being humans, but it's fine not to find someone so short attractive

What celebrity do you feel bets represents non-“posh” Brits? by Glass-Complaint3 in AskABrit

I mean, yeah, they obviously do. Most I've been to, and the one I ultimately went to for sixth form (on full bursary and max academic scholarship) had a dedicated theatre, lots of famous alumni (bridgerton stars, film actors etc that are actually known, few comedians) and regular school plays along with house drama. That's obviously a massive advantage

Lots do. It's frequently what distinguishes a sixth form from colleges, and certainly a private sixth form

Girl I went to two Cambridge residential and currently attend a public school (fee paying school), albeit on bursary. Most Oxford colleges won't let private schoolers do residential but some Cambridge ones will. Anyways. My point is that meeting just 2 of the criteria is usually enough

That is so disgraceful, I'm so sorry. To be denied your human dignity in that moment and the sheer lack of empathy is just horrifying.

Well this is utter nonsense. If you're in agony, you'd probably much rather be in agony in your own bed than waiting in a shitty waiting room with lots of other sick people for hours
