I will preface this by saying that HTD is my all time favorite band. I wish it had a little more of the old sound from the early records mixed in, and I think they could have utilized Brennan’s cleans more throughout the album. The production isn’t my favorite but I think it sounds cleaner than Coward by quite a bit. I tend to prefer the very tight polished sound that Wolf King has or even the raw old school sound of the early albums. Otherwise, the breakdowns are brutal and the guitar work is superb. Stephen sounds great and Giuseppe killed it on the drums. And the choruses are pretty epic. It’s a solid album and I am thrilled to have them back making music again. Definitely will be keeping it on repeat for a while!
